Largest fine in History for Pfizer ! $2.3 billion.
mania replied to Social Media's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
2.3 Billion pffft they wont care they will just claim the need of yet another booster to fill that gap ???? Look at how they value profits over lives Look at how they Pay doctors to sell even giving trips & massages? How they overcharge Medicare Take care of yourself as best as you can as it is the last line of your defense. Otherwise you get thrown into this system & your at their mercy -
Ah that makes sense now. I thought Chiang Mai was like 1.2 million & do see it listed that way here
-
I know right? I was just looking at that list the other day & was really surprised at the numbers.

Anything is possible but about floaters they do in fact settle (or your brain eventually copes with it) as I have had a batch in my right eye (and the flashes) & I'm fine now. Just as the US eye doctor told me it would eventually be. In any case be careful with Thai doctors. That you saw the laser repair on screen is no guarantee that it was ever truly needed . Also never expect any Thai doctor to say anything negative about other doctors with the childish defamation laws here Good Luck going forward hope your eyes are ok https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/14209-floaters--flashers

Just finally got infected & recovered after a few days of low grade fever (tested positive on first day) Did fine for three years even traveling the world but it seems Thailand has really under reported their numbers. Here in the country it is pretty rampant. Not that it is a big deal as most have the same symptoms I had but don't test or report it. I tested negative after 7 days I had one J&J vac back in 8/2/21 So that is supposedly expired as they say it is good for 6 months. I only got it because it was a single dose & I figured my body could handle it + I thought there was no other way to travel back then

You were fleeced for that floater (which you still have) The good news is you were not fleeced a second time with the 360 BS Floaters are not a big deal & your brain will eventually deal with it & you won't see them anymore. Also some small flashes of light when you first turn off lights is normal with aging eyes due to these micro tears Sad but true yes Falang enters a Thai hospital & is told you need this NOW is often usually $$$ BS Trust me I flew all the way back to the USA just to be laughed at by real doctors when I told them The famous kidney doctor of Thailand said I need an operation NOW 7 years later I see the laughing doctors in the USA were right as I listened to them & had nothing done. It is a hard to accept fact that even doctors in Thailand will fleece you & worse use your fears to do so. It is when I realized it does not matter in Thailand....street vendors...immigration officers...monks...all cut from the same cloth

EL PASO: 2000 Migrants crossing border daily !
mania replied to Social Media's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
Yes I do & this problem wasn't happening at the borders...in fact quite the opposite -
Yes of course sorry my bad! I don't know why the counting crows/Michelle Branch remake came to mind ????
-
Actually the time we were there was a few weeks ago already CM108 also did a piece on the traffic & how crazy it has gotten but it was in Thai

Yes I agree those places were always "busy" but now are basically full gridlock Also we were not going to Nim as it always was a cluster F@3\#! always ! ( My bad for describing that poorly) But instead as I said we were on Canal heading towards Nim direction as we were headed to 700 year stadium, But that aside the Canal road is just full stop. I felt bad for an ambulance as they tried to get thru as obviously they could not. Yes there are some nice new areas outside CM & we did in fact go visit a few considering whether or not we wanted to maybe move back to CM. Some nice homes for good prices actually! But after two trips of a week each we're sad to say giving CM a pass as any future living idea Was nice though as we are cyclist & rode the usual Bhubing Palace & Samoeng Loop etc & those were nice...Suthep climb crowded as heck (a Saturday so expected)& we started before sunrise but nice

Yes actually we bought our Chiang Mai Condo in 2004 but lived there only 3-4 months a year till 2012 then full time. So I agree it was very nice back then. Clean not overcrowded & still looked like Thailand Hahah also like you we now have a house in the country in an area we too will not mention ???? Bangkok folks already traveling here a lot to take back to the land type selfies ????
-
I guess that can be said about almost anywhere but... We lived in Chiang Mai from 2011 till 2016 loved it but sold up & left for various reasons Came back to visit in 2018/2019 & thought it still nice then Covid hit & we did not visit again till now 2022 What a difference! Population/traffic etc has really exploded. Anywhere we went too so long by car. I know it is always faster by scooter & we usually went that way when we lived there but also used out car a lot without problem back then. But now? I mean it is crazy IMHO going along canal road around 3-4pm trying to get to Nimmanhaemin road took literally over an house to go 4km Same if we were in town at various times & tried to go up Chang Phueak crazy traffic with super long waits at stop lights Chang Klan road? What happened? looks like so many places boarded up now & the whole road basically in a state of disrepair So whats going on? Is it just a population explosion? I assume much of the boarded up sections were victims of Covid But overall was saddened to see what is no longer. Even around the moat is just not as well kept anymore ????

Red Bull case: Former senior prosecutor discharged from service
mania replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes of course but there are in fact levels & that is why a true justice system has levels of punishment Some get a slap on the wrist/warning some get the death penalty Look it is obvious you bought the T-shirt & your all in for Thailand great enjoy but To try & justify this kind of corruption is just a perfect example of how you yourself have been assimilated into accepting hit and run such as this It is also why even the religion of Thailand has had such a upswing in bad deeds. Whether it be monks raping or taking drugs or worse. Recently a whole Wat has has no monks or abbot as all were arrested for failing drug tests. Worse yet they were tested when snared in a drug trafficking ring. That likely meant they were also selling drugs But hey TIT right? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-63792923 Not wrong? Why? because it is taught in the same way you have been now taught...This is Asia...yada yada yada Sorry that is just BS wrong is wrong And the sad part is the moral fabric or what is left of it is now deteriorating faster than ever -

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4375556/Wanted-Red-Bull-heir-pictured-partying-hit-run.html Below is one example that article shows even more F1 appearances Vorayuth 'Boss' Yoovidhya, second left, whose grandfather co-founded energy drink company Red Bull, walks with his mother Daranee, second right, at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi on November 26, 2016 -

This is why Thailand cannot escape the inherent corruption that permeates Thailand You put this case in front of grade school kids in any other country & ask if this minutia matters in light of their reluctance to just grab this POS Vorayuth It would be so easy to bring him to justice. Don't believe it? Put a bounty on his head. He will be returned this week to Thailand by one of many capable bounty hunters But no instead all this BS posturing use a scapegoat & yet not really as even he will not be prosecuted for his part in this cover up. Instead he will likely retire with a fat envelope for his willingness to take one for the team This in general is a big reason many no longer live full time in this corrupt hole. Yes it was always bad but even worse/more blatant since last coup. We all (hopefully) grow up get wiser & take off the rose colored glasses
