Sadiq Khan Welcomes Trump to London in Surprising Shift

I don't live there so not fussed about any postcode nonsense, I live in Bangkok. No idea what you are wibbling on about or what relevance it has to anything. -
Sadiq Khan Welcomes Trump to London in Surprising Shift
josephbloggs replied to Social Media's topic in World News
He did, did he? You are, of course, aware that the Tories cut TfL's operational funding in 2015 which caused a massive hole in its finances and meant it had to rely almost exclusively on revenue from fares. You are, of course, also aware of a thing called Covid which caused ridership to plummet by over 90%. Where was Sadiq supposed to magic up that money from? So, according to you, Sadiq must have asked the government to bring in "austerity" measures (which were such a huge success and benefitted so many people) and he also caused Covid. -

No. Why is important to know anyway? -

Right, but you know that he has ruined public transport but just can't how. -

Sadiq Khan Welcomes Trump to London in Surprising Shift
josephbloggs replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Has he, has he really? Did you think of that all by yourself? I was just in London. It wasn't much different to how it was when I lived there 30-odd years ago, except there's no traffic, the air is clean, public transport is infinitely better and more affordable. Damn expensive though - is that what "Londonstan" means? Why don't you tell us of your experiences. -

Do you only talk in cliches or do you have any thoughts or words of your own? Assuming you don't live in London, why don't you tell us how he has destroyed public transport? And how has he ruined people's lives? If he had ruined their lives and ruined transport you would think Londoners would be upset, right? But he has been elected for an unprecedented third term in office. I was in London last week visiting relatives who have lived there over 40 years. Believe it or not actual Londoners (you know, the ones who live there) like him and his achievements and that's why they keep voting for him. It seems to mostly be the bigots who can't stand the fact he is brown and Muslim that whine about him (and most of them don't live there either - like you). But you do love your right wing cliches, keep them coming, don't disappoint. -
Musk targets Social Security with blatant misinformation
josephbloggs replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
As usual, Trump supporters put their fingers in their ears. I have seen the entire clip and it is no different. Talking about Ukraine, "You should have never started it" is pretty clear. But you believe what you want to believe, that's fine. Quite funny actually. -
Thaksin, Anwar Ibrahim, and Brunei Sultan Discuss Myanmar Crisis
josephbloggs replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, I know, but I thought I would give a little concession otherwise I would be accused of blind hatred, being brainwashed, pro junta blah blah etc etc. -

Thaksin, Anwar Ibrahim, and Brunei Sultan Discuss Myanmar Crisis
josephbloggs replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Incorrect. He was much more openly corrupt than any preceding him or anyone since. Approving a government loan via Exim bank to the Burmese junta (against international sanctions) to buy his Shin Sat satellites. Passing millions of dollars worth of shares in Shin corp to his maid and driver to try and hide them. Selling a huge plot of government owned land to his wife when he was PM. Changing government telecoms policies to benefit AIS about competitors. Widespread corruption at Suvarnabhumi. It goes on and on. When he was elected he sold people the lie that he wouldn't be corrupt as he is already rich. But the man is incredibly greedy and got more and more brazen. Easily the most brazenly corrupt PM this country has seen. You are a joke. Thaksin is - and only ever was - out for himself and his personal wealth and ego. He is trying to make his family a dynasty here. He is responsible for thousands of deaths (Tak Bai, "War on Drugs"), he polarised the country so badly it was brought to the brink of civil war. He didn't care, he only cares about Thaksin. Did he? Like what? 30 baht health scheme was good. -

This is the link: https://gov.immigration1.queueonline.net/appointment/login.html?v35 I used it a couple of days ago (first time using it) as I need a CoR to renew my driver's license. Booked appointment for 11.30am, arrived at 11.25am as the traffic was horrendous on Tuesday morning. Went to info counter, they told me to go straight to desk 64. At 11.30am on the dot the number at desk 64 displayed my number. Took 2-3 minutes including payment and receipt and I was out by 11.34am. Amazing. I will never ever go to CW for anything without an appointment ever again. I think it was @DrJack54 who first notified me of the online appointment system when I moaned about my first (and only) 90 day report taking six hours - I had no idea it existed before.

Typical moronic anti-Thai AN reply. How much do you think it cost them in fuel to fly all the way back? How much do you think it cost them to reorganise all those people at the airport, give them food and drink, and then how much money to organise another plane to take them all to Singapore a few hours later? Idiotic. It wasn't an emergency situation, so it is pretty standard to return to your home airport where things can be taken care of more easily as you have maintenance workers, an inventory of parts for your specific aircraft - especially as their home airport was less than two hours away. But yeah, money. I guess you are one of those who just spouts "money", "greed", or "money number one" randomly in threads without engaging your brain.

Thailand Faces Severe Air Pollution Crisis as PM2.5 Levels Soar
josephbloggs replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
No, 2-stroke motorbikes we're phased out in 1999 or 2000. Long gone. Back then the air pollution was mainly due to trucks, buses, two stroke motorcycles, tuk tuks. Now it generally isn't, it is the burning of fields and crops. Take that burning away and the air here is infinitely better than it was in the late 90's. -
The pictures are from a story in 2014 about a cracked windscreen on a flight from Sydney to Bangkok that diverted to Bali. Well done Daily Mail, high journalistic standards as usual. https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/incidents/thai-airways-flight-from-sydney-to-bangkok-makes-emergency-landing-due-to-cracked-window/news-story/d9ee0f993e9d7c9123e2e314c7d5d20a

Wonder why the Daily Mail is using a picture of a cracked windscreen on a 747 as TG retired them ages ago. The flight in question was operated by an Airbus A330-300.

So you don't have any evidence or anything intelligent to contribute, and you refuse to answer questions. You just make stupid blanket statements (Europe is communist, communism is their goal etc) and when asked for evidence or asked if you have even been to Europe you respond with childish insults ("Woke idiot"). You are nothing more than a man child who doesn't know how to join in with the grown ups. One more try: have you been to Europe? Where is your evidence it is communist (it clearly isn't)? What are you basing this on? Or maybe you don't understand what communism is - that's ok, someone can help explain it if you ask nicely.
-
Okey Dokey. So just your paranoid MAGA conspiracy theory opinion. Absolutely no facts to back it up. Worthless then.
-
Sigh. Ok, please share your evidence. Anything? Are you paranoid? A prepper maybe? How is Europe "under Communism"?? And how is that their long term goal? Evidence please. Have you ever been to Europe? Seriously, amazing that someone can say that and believe it, must be serious MAGA issues.... Edit: oh, just seen some of your other conspiracy posts. All is clear now, thanks.
-
Europe doesn't want your blinkered myopic view. You do you, build your walls, send whoever home you like, let Europe do what Europe wants to do. The absolute last thing Europe wants to do is follow America in to anything, especially under the current incumbent. And this generalisation is absolute rubbish.

The check out date and number of nights are not compulsory fields so I leave them blank as I live here and don't know how many nights I will stay - I figure that is more for hotels to complete, but as it is non compulsory leave it blank. I am no expert to answer definitively on this at all. Personally I would leave the check out date blank then do a new TM30 upon re-entry to Thailand. That is what I do after foreign trips anyway, whether that is right or wrong I am not sure but better to be safe than sorry. If you are coming in visa exempt then probably no need to bother as you are leaving again soon but if you plan on staying long term I would just do it - it literally takes less than a minute anyway. 99% sure you don't need to do a TM30 after travel within Thailand.

Yep, why wouldn't you choose the much bigger and better equipped airport? And as someone else pointed out, if the landing gear fails on landing it would close the runaway. As Phuket only has one it would be catastrophic, whereas Suvarnabhumi has three so could easily continue operations. It all makes perfect sense, not sure why anyone thinks there is reason to question it.
