  4. Am I reading correct that in order for you to get your visa you have to provide proof of air travel? However after getting your visa and applying for your COE that it states that you should buy your air ticket after your COE has been pre- approved?? Thank you

What is the purpose of the E-visa process for?

  7. I brought my wife and her son to the USA when he was 8 years old. He still a Thai citizen and will also become a USA citizen, He is now serving in the USA Navy. My wife and I had a daughter in USA and we got her Thai birth certificate and a Thai passport and have now moved back to Thailand for 3 years. Our son is planning one day return to Thailand after his career in the USA Navy is done he will be well over 30. I am pretty sure he wont have any issues since he will be over 30 I had read will have to pay a small fine but I think that is it from what I read.
  8. Because of poor timing my mom has fallen ill back in USA and I have to leave quick and because of timing my current visa non-o (marriage) will expire before renewal. Has there been any changes to obtaining a new non-o visa from stateside with the new E-Thaivisa application?? I aware that I need a set amount of funds in my USA bank account as well as $100,000 usd covid19 insurance for the 90 days on return anything else? Thank you
  9. Ubonjoe, Is correct also if he only gets a 90 day non-o single entry based on marriage from the embassy in London, that he will only have to buy the covid-19 100,000 usd policy one time for the first 90 days? Thank you
  10. I thought the insurance requirement was only 100,000 usd covid policy until the non o 1st expires if based on marriage? coming into Thailand from another country
  11. Wow not surprised by that answer! I would have thought for sure if you are retired drawing social security that would be good enough in addition even if you are not drawing social security but can prove 12 months are transfers from your bank outside the country would be ok. As you said yes it is up to your local IO but what I see all to often in the staff changes in the office then the rule that was ok last year is no longer good this year!
  12. I agree somewhat but based on the fact that you can get covid insurance outside of Thailand how does that benefit the government? It will still have somewhat of a hurt on tourism only because it is another added fee to there holiday.
  13. Does anyone know yet with Bangkok opening back up that after you get your re entry stamp and leave and come back and you are vaccinated (IE no more quarantine for 14 days) Will the rule change where you wont need covid insurance anymore for the duration of your current non o visa?
  14. If you just prove the money came from your USA bank account and transfer the required amount in Thai baht to your Bangkok bank on a monthly basis for 12 months that is all that is required should you choose that route?

Ok thank you another question Is it correct that as long as you show 12 months of bank statements of 40,000 thai baht or more from a non thai account to a thai bank account that you would not have to prove it was from social security? Do they only want to see the 12 months of transfers of 40,000 thai baht or more? Thank you
  16. I have used US global mail for some time and never had any issues and like the other poster said I was able to choose a state that has no state income taxes as my address.

When I log into wise I see several choices as to why you want to send I see a choice that says (for long term stay in Thailand) Not sure if that is the correct one because I don't see a choice (Immigration purposes)? I am not but I thought I was reading an earlier post something fft code on the bank transfer when you update your bank book. Thank you
  18. I will be having my checks deposited in a Usa bank account and use transfer wise as the method of proving the monthly income instead of the 400,000 Thai baht keeping inside Thai bank account. My question is when you use transfer wise to send the funds to your Thai bank account how does immigration know and do you need to show any other type of proof other than the 12 months of bank statements? Thank you
  19. Pretty much the exact way on the affidavit will state " I first (name last name) married wife (first name last name) on the date of ( day,year) in the state of Florida. The application number is (*******) and the State file number is (******) My passport number is (*****) and my wife's Thai id is (*****)." That will be the affidavit. I get it stamped and signed at the USA embassy then get it translated send to the MFA and they put there green and red stamp on it. I think then immigration will be suffice with that.

I am not sure can get multiple from MFA (Ministry Of Foreign Affairs) but right now the number the matches the local office (Amphur) is the one with the application number which I cannot legalize here and the one that is official and legalized by The Secretary Of State Florida, USA department Of State and the Royal Thai Embassy is the one with the state file number I think listing specific application number and state file number on a new affidavit will resolve this mess,
  21. Because from I what read on this website and other research that was all that was needed and could not get legalized once I was in Thailand from the Usa embassy here. I read that an affidavit was sufficient enough get the affidavit translated and stamped by the MFA and then get the kor ror 22 but this Im office asked for a translated copy of the marriage cert from USA and since I cant do that here I had to get it legalized from the USA and the marriage cert that was legalized in the Usa did not include the application number it only stated a state file number but all other information was correct and by the way from the same office in the USA all marriage cert come from each state from the bureau of vital statistics.
  22. Totally agree on top of that my 3rd year doing this and have a dual citizen daughter 8 years old, all the docs were fine before but this time they wanted the translation done and stamped by the MFA. Who knows what will be next maybe have to run an exercise course under 60 seconds.
  23. Ubonjoe, I think my best option is to do another affidavit stating both the application number and state file number get translated and stamped by the MFA and I would think that this would suffice local immigration (Hope so!)

Thank you, Please let me try to explain I did this step when I came to Thailand with my marriage cert from usa I got a affidavit at the usa embassy done got it translated then sent to MFA but on this marriage certificate it only had a application number which is what I wrote on the affidavit as it was the only number on the certificate and took all this to my local amphur for the kor ror 22. This time Immigration wanted a translated copy of the actual marriage certificate stamped by the MFA done, and the way to do that is to get it legalized from the USA department of state and the THAI embassy in Wash dc I did that step to but this where it gets messed up. The new copy of my marriage certificate that came from the bureau of vital statistics had a state file number on it and not a application number which I first used at amphur so after getting a translated copy of the one with the state file number on and getting it stamped at the MFA. Immigration said that the numbers dont match on the kor ror 22 which is true and they wanted amphur to update the number and amphur said no they cant change the number because once it is recorded in the system it cant be changed, I hope this makes since and if you have any suggestions to please help me. Thank you I am thinking to go back to the USA embassy in Bangkok and doing another affidavit done but this time listing my application number and my state file number that came from the two different certificates get that translated and send to the MFA for a stamp and present to immigration.
