  1. I noticed in big c they have the red stickers showing the reduced price for items, when they remove the red stickers it's the same price under neath con or what.

  2. Many are blaming the problem on poor refuse collection and street cleaning services which causes drains to become blocked

i am nt to sure if this happens where there was flooding, but i always see thais in bangkok dropping fat, food you name it down the drains, also just leaving rubbish in the middle of the path wating to be picked up, not even put into proper black bags...

i always find in thailand, the blame is always shifted to someone else, and no one will ever claim responsibitly

Boater I have seen the same thing in Soi Buakow, like they say you reap what you sow.

  3. Try Cheers Bar on Pattayaland Soi 2. Their sign used to read No Hostesses No Hassles. They don't do food but have the menus from many nearby places and are happy to get their staff to order the food for you to eat there. Owned by Welsh, American guys with their Thai wives. Quiet and a good view for people watching.

Yes i'll agree with you there and Collin the Welsh half can help with many questions that you have.

  4. Hi Sinbin,

I have just done this 2 weeks ago.

First you need to go to the embassy and get a 'certified copy' of your passport, which IIRC cost Baht 1,500.

That will have the embassy seal and stamp on it.

You then take the certified copy to the MFA and get that translated by one of the local translaters.

The security guard on the gate called one of these chaps over to me and i paid Baht 300 for the translation, which took around 15 minutes.

The translation has to have a stamp that it was done by a certified translator.

It's best to get to the MFA before 8am so that you are ready to submit the documents as early as possible.

After that you go to the main office and hand in the certified passport copy and the translation for them to authenticate the translation.

I paid for the express service (Bhat 800) and it was ready by 11am on the same day.

When yougo to your local amphur make sure that you have both the certified passport copy and the translation.

You will also have to take your passport with you and may need photocopies of the documents.

    Regards,

    Tiger.

Are you sure this is for the Yellow Book, I had to go to the Main Government Offices in Nonthaburi, not the local Amphur.

I had my yellow book from the local Amphur office also.
