It's not likely that your soul will be changed but it might affect your view of the place. since you seem adaptable, the best decision is probably to settle down wherever your wife is from, if she would like that. I was originally going to buy a place in Hua Hin area, but my wife had no friends there and it would not have been as nice as being in her village. And I actually enjoyed living in a small farming village with her family around. I had internet and we could go away whenever we wanted. It was actually a secure and comfortable way of life. And I would visit friends in Pattaya - the first moments and say in town, with all the bright lights and activity, was exciting. The 2nd dau, not so much so and the third day, I was ready to go home. If your mindset and values can be distorted at this age, then it wasn't your true values.

It sounds like those prices are dated... things are getting more expensive as inflation is everywhere, though nurses are not. In CM there is a nursing shortage. There are surely more than 10 places in CM now and quite a few are upper crust.

Many many in CM area... if you are looking for less expensive, maybe McKean is cheap?? If the name is correct.. often they can quote you a base line price then it goes up from there according to what services are needed... 2 people can share a room but it won't be cheap as it sounds like they will need lots of nursing care. It does seem to be a growing business here.
