Explicitly stating that, as the owner of WaPo, he will not endorse Harris/Waltz IS NOT an implicit endorsement of Trump/Vance. But!!! That is exactly how the progressive, the Left, and Democrats are framing his decision. Personally I agree with him. Truly unbiased (or less biased) MSM outlets should refrain from endorsing anyone.

I fully expect "The Left" to now focus attacks on the integrity of Jeff Bezos. Trust me, I'm not a fan, but cross The Left and experience the vitriol and hate speech toward those with whom they disagree. There is no such thing as debate anymore, just mud-slinging and name-calling. "You're Hitler. You're a Fascist. You're a Flat-Earther. You're a <gasp> Conspiracy Theorist!" Btw, notice that Bezos referred to alternative sources of information and journalism as "Disinformation." So he still is a proponent of that trope. "The commoners and plebeians are too dumb to engage in independent journalism." There ya go - a billionaire's view of the rest of us. Most independent journalist will look at multiple views on issues and then chose to opine on one which they agree with, and if the facts change, their opinions change. The MSM on the other hand states that their opinions are "The Only Fact-based, Truth and all else is Disinformation." The latter is just propaganda. The former is actual journalism. And yes - there are some really far out websites - Flat Earther for example. But I'll defend a Flat Earther to express their reasoning 100% of the time even if I 100% disagree with them. The other side? The billionaire classes and The Left? They want to censor all that doesn't fit "The Only Acceptable Narrative." And Bezos and other MSM publishers will continue to lose revenue and readership. Guys like Bezos states he understands the problem when in fact, he's pretty much just whining. My guess is he would like to see John Kerry's approach: kill the First Amendment then outlaw all but the main-stream news while calling all other journalistic outlet - "Disinformation." And then? You have the equivalent to the Soviet "Pravda" (The Truth) You know the old adage in the Soviet Union before its fall? "Read Pravda, invert what is written, and there is the truth."

And here I thought he said he came back to "live out his life with his grandchildren." More like to "...steer the ship of state in a direction beneficial to the Shin Dynasty." -
Heads-up for US voters who mailed their ballots at the Chiang Mai US Embassy Voter Drop-box. Check with your voter precinct in the state and county where you vote to make sure your ballot was received. I dropped mine off almost a month ago and it never arrived. Well, my trust in government institutions isn't bolstered by that. "Hi - we're from the government and we're here to help!" 🙄 Of course you are. I should have just mailed it. That's the first and last time I'll use the "convenient" US voter drop-off box. "Place your ballot in here and it will drop-off the radar and into the circular file." 👈 Probably closer to the truth.

3 Things that will make your relationship successful in Thailand Money Status Fame I love you no **** farang!!! -
"at some point." You need to be honest with yourself. And yes! I am being blunt. Go get assistance...now. This is my last comment. Best of luck friend. You gotta wanna quit for real.
-
True - but you have a Tramadol dependence, and given the discussions here you seem to be reluctant to take the steps necessary to taper and then quit - permanently. Personally based on your discussion on this forum, I'd really suggest looking for professional help in withdrawing from Tramadol. If that is too much money for you, then look into a NA meetings in your area. You strike me as someone who needs assistance with their withdrawals. Go get it.

Got any experience with either? If not, you don't really know what you're talking about. I could go into the chemical structures of the two and discuss stuff like the mu opioid receptors, various alkoloids, effect on serotonin and norepinephrine, etc., and as such why Kratom is an easier step-down then Tramadol, or Methadone, or Morphine, and other opioids. And there are chemical and biological reasons why. But? Probably over the heads of most AN readers who probably would be interested anyway.

There is a huge difference between breaking, crushing, chewing or dissolving any opioid (which addicts do to get a rush, especially if the pill is "extended release") and splitting a solid pill that is homogenized with equal amounts of acetaminophen and tramadol, and splitting it into two "half doses" of the original pill. I think you are missing the context of the warning. Yeah, if someone chewed a few Ultracet tablets it could be dangerous. Why? Acetaminophen overdose. Context. Take too much Ultracet and introduce it into your system too quickly and, yeah, liver damage ala acetaminophen. 1/2 of an Ultracet exposes a person to 18.75 mg of Tramadol and 162.5 mg of acetaminophen. That's low dosages of both drugs. Btw, 50mg Tramadol capsules are in gelatin capsules with dissolve in the stomach and release the entire dosage of 50mg into a person's system. Maximum dosage is 400 mg / day. But if someone decides to get a buzz and just takes 400 mg of Tram? That's dangerous. And taking a bunch of Ultracet to get a Tramadol buzz? Really dangerous and you don't even have to chew them. Acetaminophen. Liver damage. Potentially deadly. "Got NAC?" Now if you are talking about "extended release" of pretty much any drug, I'll agree with you. "Cutting, breaking, crushing, chewing or dissolving" any extended release drug exposes the body to a potential overdose. Again - context. I think we both have backgrounds in Life Sciences and we're both intelligent people. Think about it.

For profit "main-stream media" (MSM) outlets may finally be getting the message: If you are going to be the gatekeeper of information as opposed the purveyors of investigative and factual, unbiased journalism, there is a price to be paid - the loss of trust of the large segments of the public. Bezos' message should be a wake-up call to what was once considered to be The Fourth Estate, which until the last two decades was a check and balance to the government and the establishment power to control public narratives. Instead, the MSM and social media have become the gatekeepers of "the truth" whose goal now is to only allow establishment narratives to be published while calling all other commentary, opinion, and journalism - "mis, dis, and malinformation." And as Bezos opines, the MSM has lost the public trust and the MSM has lost significant readership and viewership to the alternative press. There is a price to be paid, and Bezos being a businessman first and foremost, understands that embracing and perpetuating intolerant ideologies at the exclusion of alternative facts to the contrary ultimately loses customers which in turn equates to lost revenues and profits. Newspapers like the Washington Post need to go back to their roots: provide unbiased facts and allow their readers to come to their own conclusions. But force-feed your customer-base a singular biased narrative based on what has become an establishment ideology and insist it is "the only truth?" - you lose customers who now go elsewhere to find their information in order to form their opinions. Hence Bezos decision to not endorse any presidential candidate. "In the annual public surveys about trust and reputation, journalists and the media have regularly fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress. But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working. Let me give an analogy. Voting machines must meet two requirements. They must count the vote accurately, and people must believe they count the vote accurately. The second requirement is distinct from and just as important as the first. Likewise with newspapers. We must be accurate, and we must be believed to be accurate. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but we are failing on the second requirement. Most people believe the media is biased." -WaPo Owner Jeff Bezos This OpEd is not behind a paywall. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/10/28/jeff-bezos-washington-post-trust/

Sure you can. It's like cutting a Tylenol tablet in half. A knife, a cutting board, and Bob's your uncle. 2 halves of an Ultracet with about 18 mg of Tramadol in each half.

Opiate withdrawal are difficult. Don't mix up pain with withdrawal symptoms. It's easy to do. At this point your probably just going though withdrawal and it sucks. I'm serious about Kratom working to alleviate a lot of the withdrawal symptoms like restlessness, restless leg syndrome, sniffles, sneezing and diarrhea. But a taper will also work. Don't be in a hurry - rule number one. Take your time. You are down to 3 50mg pills a day? Stay there until you're comfortable for a few day, then cut another 50gm. Yeah - you'll experience some withdrawal symptoms but they won't be a major problem. Taper is your friend. Take your time. You took years getting to this point, give yourself time to taper off. It's not a race.

Stay on 3 for a week, then 2 for a week, then 1 for a week, then 1 Ultracet for a week, then 1/2 Ultracet, then you'll probably be able to just quit by then.

Poll: Do you agree with General Kelly that Trump is a fascist?
connda replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
Yep - and Putin's Ruskie satellites are beaming propaganda into the third-eye of Blue State voters and twisting their minds to vote from Trump. And the DPRK's Kim is sending Trump instructions to help Putin win the war in Ukraine so that he can built Trump Towers in Kiev and Pyongyang. Trump is Hitler!!! Grrrrr! -

Laser printers. I bought one and never looked back. I don't buy anything from HP anymore. They price gouged their customers, including me, for years. Not anymore. If you need to purchase a subscription to run your hardware, don't buy that brand of hardware. -
You can use Kratom powder or Kratom leaf to offset the withdrawals symptom. Realize you'll eventually have to withdraw from Kratom, but it's an easier step down. By the way, this is exactly why Kratom was historically outlawed. From a historical perspective, it cut into the opium trade. It's an effective way to taper off of opioids, but was made illegal as those who made money off of the opium trade of old wanted addicts. You need to taper off of the Tramadol. Kratom will make the step-down easier. If you don't have the will power to taper, then get professional help.

Say that about a black or Hispanic person and see where it goes in the US. The implicit acceptance of anti-white racism by Western leaders is really an attempt at provoking society to descend into chaos. Ordo ex Chao - Order out of Chaos Don't buy into it. Stand united against racism in all of its ugly forms.
