Thaksin sparks online debates for being released on parole Well, just throw all those disgruntled commoners in prison for pointing out that there seems to be one set of rules for the billionaire-class and another for commoners and little-people, and its too obvious to ignore regardless of how it is spun. -
There is a thread running for U.K. SIM cards of OTP overseas. I'm interested in the same for U.S. SIM cards for OTP overseas for the same reasons.

Lidocaine - Is it OTC and if so, where to purchase it
connda replied to connda's topic in Health and Medicine
Topical. I used to have some years ago. Preferably 5% topical jell, liquid, or ointment without any other substances like camphor or other additives. What I'm using it for will simply send this off topic. It's nothing nefarious. Thanks. -
@Sheryl or anyone. Has anyone seen Lidocaine for sale in Thailand (specifically Chiang Mai). Is it OTC (I can no longer access MIMS so I can't check)?

Thaksin Exempt from EM Bracelet Due to Illness and Age
connda replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If I was a Thai investigative reporter I'd be out looking for the 70+ year old parolees who are not in good physical shape who are wearing ankle monitors. Just saying..... I bet there are more than a few. -
I really hasn't been that way "always." I can't remember the exact year it happened (201n) but it happened before Immigration started to push those of who were married to Thai women to switch to retirement extensions "for the convenience." Then they changed the financial requirements the next year to what they are now, and a lot of us changed back to Marriage extensions. IO "Why you change to retirement then back to marriage??? I only do this one time. No change again." Me: 🤐 <zip> 🤔 <thinking> "Ahhhh, because you told guys like me that it would be convenient. Then ya'll turned around and changed the requirements." Shhhh

Royal Rainmaking Department struggles to control Bangkok PM2.5 levels
connda replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I suggest they take a page out of American Native American heritage and do a PM2.5 dance around a fire. -
Phuket Airport taxis inspected as Thailand legalises three more apps
connda replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
And those three new taxi apps are... <drum roll - slide whistle, cymbal crash> Sharpen your machetes and let the Phuket Taxi Wars begin! -

Student network demands the facts on Thaksin’s true medical condition

They'll probably get thrown into prison. Not the penthouse suite in a hospital kind. -
111 couples tie the knot on Rama IX Bridge, Bangkok
connda replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
50 couples at Saphan Khao (White Bridge Park) near Doi Khuntan in Lamphun. So basically, the bigger the city, the fewer marriages. They are gonna have to change the Immigration laws as the Thai Boomers die off and the younger generations stop having kids. 😉 -
I have very little in common with most expats here, retired, married, or working.

Thailand Moves Closer to Marriage Equality Law You mean that foreign men married to Thai women will be extended the same consideration as foreign women married to Thai men. Oh damn. Silly me. LGBTQ+ community. But? 🤔 Maybe Mrs Connda can become Mr. Connda and Mr. Connda and become Mrs Connda. Yeah....hummmm? 😉

Sick, frail 70+ year old farangs would end up in Gen-Pop.

Well, time will tell one way or the other. If he's out golfing this year the powers-that-be will spin it on overdrive. Either way. I remember when I first got to Thailand and there was an article about some poor plod who had been tossed into one form of Thai prison or other. He was in really bad shape. I won't get into specifics but it was inhuman. So this concierge prison service is extended to all frail, sick, prisoner over 70? Of course. Yep - everybody knows. Btw - I'm not picking on Thailand. This two-tiered system is global: one tier for the obscenely wealthy, another for the common-folk.

FYI. I downloaded this non-fillable TM.7 from the official Thailand Immigration site. It does not reflect any changes. It's the same as the fillable TM.7. I assume what they publish on their site is the most current, but - This Is Thailand. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/4.

The only change I can see is that the dotted lines after the phrase, "Reason for extension" use to be three lines under the phrase. This document they have brought the dotted lines up to the word "extension." That's the only change I personally see. Anyone see anything else. Does anyone have a PDF editor? If someone can take the fillable TM.7 form and edit it to make that change it would probably help us all. I'm headed to Immigration for an extension tomorrow. I'll see if the fillable flies or not.
