Will Thailand have to get involved in the South China Sea tensions?
connda replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand will eventually have to take a side. Now. Do they side with the country 14,000 miles away, or do they side with the country 200 km from my home as the crow flies? Given the history of Thailand especially in WWII. I have my bets. -

Ignore the video title. This interview with John Cleese is actually a discussion about Creativity and touches on what you asked. https://youtu.be/mBf6kJIbXLg -
I walked right by a small cobra the other day. Never saw it. I was letting our dogs into a fenced area and one of the dogs started barking at it. It was within a couple of feet of the gate I came through. Realistically? Getting bit could be just that fast without even seeing the snake. Scary stuff.

Requirements for a Visa on arrival

Do you know the difference between VOA and 'visa exemption?' And they all are US citizens. Thanks. -
My friends from America who haven't been here in two years are planning a trip to Thailand in Feb 2023. Some have Covid vaccinations, some do not. What are the current requirements for a VOA based a vaccination status. I need to send them all the information they'll need for entering and touring Thailand next February. These are US businessmen and as usual they are planning a one month stay.

“As SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, continues to circulate globally, high levels of vaccine- and infection-induced immunity and the availability of effective treatments and prevention tools have substantially reduced the risk for medically significant COVID-19 illness (severe acute illness and post–COVID-19 conditions) and associated hospitalization and death. These circumstances now allow public health efforts to minimize the individual and societal health impacts of COVID-19 by focusing on sustainable measures to further reduce medically significant illness as well as to minimize strain on the health care system, while reducing barriers to social, educational, and economic activity.“ "All persons should seek testing for active infection when they are symptomatic or if they have a known or suspected exposure to someone with COVID-19.” Time to ditch asymptomatic testing. “CDC now recommends case investigation and contact tracing only in health care settings and certain high-risk congregate settings.” “CDC’s COVID-19 prevention recommendations no longer differentiate based on a person’s vaccination status because breakthrough infections occur, though they are generally mild, and persons who have had COVID-19 but are not vaccinated have some degree of protection against severe illness from their previous infection.” Source: Summary of Guidance for Minimizing the Impact of COVID-19 on Individual Persons, Communities, and Health Care Systems — United States, August 2022. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7133e1.htm
