  12. "FOREIGN POW's that died building that railway" !!!!?? Forced labour was used in its construction. More than 180,000 Asian civilian labourers and 60,000 Allied prisoners of war worked on the railway. About 90,000 civilians and 12,621 Allied POWs died during the construction, includeing 6,904 British, 2,802 Australians, 2,782 Dutch, and 133 Americans.
  13. Foriengners on holidays can afford it and so can foriengners living here is my take.
  14. I believe as do people where I live and my Thai friend also, he got CTPL because be thought that was a sensible thing to do, he didn't have to. As and when the Thai DLT makes them required to have something he will do what's required then. The police around us don't bother because there's nothing in law about them other than looking at them as a bicycle that is battery propelled. There's 4 and 3 wheel electric powered carts and many 3 wheels electric taxi carts where we live, the taxi guys supposed to have licences for being a taxi but many don't.
  15. I would say yes of course you just have to arrange it with your pensions providers.
  16. I was here in Thailand when my Thai wife was entitled to a percentage of my UK pension and serveral other benefits on my demise as a official certificate of marriage in Thailand is recognized by the UK gov. Now some years on UK pensions and entitlements for Thai wives has been discontinued. Private pensions and other type of pensions can help Thai wives if arranged by the husband.
  17. Been like that for over 20 years as far as I know. My CB400SF with its green book from a 100cc Wave and number plate was CTPL insured. ????????
  18. Never come across a Thai mechanic like that, also I wouldn't think OP who seems to know a bit about scoots will let anyone change parts that are not at fault.
  19. So why wasn't Ukraine's problems that went on for 8 years important to the US, UK and EU.
  20. Yeah an expensive one for a Jag. Ford carbs were a nightmare on our escort vans the coating inside them them came off and blocked jets and caused problems, so I had them replaced with single Weber convertion kits which were quite straightforward.
  21. If sanctioning is misplaced then for sure that is a crime in a manner of speaking.
  22. SU carbs weren't too bad, never had bother with em even the three I had on a 3.4 jag.
  23. I guess so, if you don't do what we want we will put sanctions on you, what else is it seen as.
  24. Heard a report today on France 24 the some countries are opening Rubles accounts in Switzerland.
