They should have been adding more trains five years ago when the trains were packed solid with commuters.

Not much social distancing or mask wearing in the, I assume recent, photo. Besides England, what countries did she visit on her super spreader tour?

It is a fact that the only Country to have plotted to assassinate a President of the United States was Israel.
When and which President? Any links to this?

I'm sure there are lots of interconnecting back sois that one could travel from Bang Na Trat road up towards Rama IX park that will not be checked. There are foot paths/bridges over the klong that separates Bangkok and Samut Prakan in numerous places.

I first came to Thailand in 1983 with my Thai wife. We had met in the US where she was a graduate student. A little different than most posters on here.

Although I own a house in the US and a couple of houses in Thailand I would suggest renting in Thailand. Easier to walk away from if you need to return to the US in a hurry.

Good day
I like it powerful yet with good fuel economy. Ford Raptor is a bit on the too expensive side. ????
Ranger Wildtrak looks good, yet fool economy doesn't look too convincing with above 8l/100km
Looking for double cabin for 5 passengers.
Toyota Hilux Revo Rocco?
Mazda?
Inputs appreciatedÈ!
Go with the Toyota! They are very reliable and there are Toyota dealers all over Thailand for when you need service. Less so with Ford's and Mazda's.

A couple areas where the American Accord best the Thai varient is it's 19" wheels (18 in Thailand) and adaptive suspension. There are heated and vented seats too.
Any thoughts?
The heated seats are great for the US market. Probably not as important in Thailand.

I suggest you check your sources before 'believing' something and publishing it.
Woody is still of this planet as of a few minutes ago when I was chatting with him on the phone.
As for other posting -it isn't a publicity stunt. They realise that it would take a long time to recover any vestige of the numbers and at their ages its just not worth the hassle of re-locating.
The land is not just about their place, its about the market alongside and behind it- its ripe for development as its a fair passle of land in a prime location. The landlord DID give them a break but in the end it has all been a bit much and the economies of scale beat them.
Perhaps a mix up of the "Woody's" around Pattaya.

The Cambodians are lucky that the Vietnamese came to their aid and stopped the Khmer Rouge from killing even more of their own people.

Sois 8, 10, & 12 are pretty nice because they don't get a lot of traffic. They are also quite close to everything so you don't really need a car except maybe for going out of Bangkok on the weekends.
Banglamphu is a different area. The mass transit system is getting closer to the area. Of course there are always the boats on Klong San Saeb.

I loved going to the TQ after a HHH run! I wasn't always in Pattaya all the time as I worked in Bangkok but it was a fun bar that I would frequent over my 30+ years in Thailand.

I believe "Woody" has recently passed away.

Everyone seems to be blaming the “greedy thai landlord”, but if they had decent talent and had bought some new cassette tapes they probably would have been able to afford the rent hike.
Buy new cassette tapes? Why? The 8-track tapes they had were working just fine! 555

The original Wong passed away quite a few years ago now. I believe it is his brother that now runs the place.

Yep, it sure was mentioned. They moved from Nana to Thong Lor but closed 7-8 years ago.

Yeah. That's what Trump did. Found a sympathetic doc, one who was beholden to his father, and got a fake diagnosis. Clinton didn't do that. So why bash Clinton? He did what was legal. Trump committed fraud.
Either way, war sucks and should be avoided at all costs.
Technically both Clinton and Trump were just doing what thousands of young men of all political leanings did during a time that the US was involved in a very controversial and unpopular war. They both did this "legally" but they just used different means to achieve the same outcome. This left the war to be fought by young, poor, and an overly represented POC draftees with neither the financial means or connections to avoid being sent to this conflict.

Sad you don't understand the difference between student deferments and medical fraud. Bone spurs? Done by a doctor renting an office from daddy? Right....
I actually understand the use of and differences between both quite well thank you very much. Numerous men used what was available to them to get out of being drafted. Bone spurs, flat feet, etc were all common medical reasons to be classified as unfit for military duty. You just needed to find a "sympathetic doctor" that would sign off on it if you were refused by others. Believe me, there were doctors out there who people were well aware would grant the waiver they needed. What's odd is that you didn't know this. If you came from a family with a little bit of money then you could enroll in college/university and use student deferments to delay your military service. Students would then take the minimum amount of credits (and achieve passable grades) to keep their deferment in place. Some, upon graduation, would then enroll in grad school to keep their deferment in effect.

So you must also remember the Sukhumvit Soi 10 Square entertainment complex, and its destruction in January 2003.
Yes, indeed. A lot of good little bars and also a rather nice restaurant in the very back. Sad to see it go.

Loved the whole Clinton Plaza area. Good little bars and also places to eat. I liked Tivoli. It later moved to Silom Soi 4 and under a new name was called Noriega's.
Other places I enjoyed were Crown Royal, Delaney's, Wong's, Bobby's Arms, and Woodstock.
Drank many a Kloster and Amarit beer back them.

A lot of good old watering holes listed.
I haven't heard anyone mention The Front Page. They would have live music on the weekends. It was down near the Bangkok Post offices and many from there would stop in after work. I don't think it is in the same location anymore.

Sad to hear that it has closed. Been going there over 30 years. It's a Pattaya institution.

I hope they do, because if they try it on with real soldiers it will be a salutary lesson for them.
Trump ducked his military service, why should the military support a draft dodger?
I guess by that same logic the military should not have supported Bill Clinton either seeing that he had dodged the draft through student deferments.

How many times have we heard this?
It seems to be an almost yearly proclamation over the past 30+ years.
Gyms, Swimming Pools, Outdoor Exercise Parks...Your best guess when they will open up?

I would assume the big parks in Bangkok like Lumpini, Benjakitti, Rama IX, and Non Bon would still be open as well as Skylane out at the airport.
