Why not ask him how much it will cost. Could just be something cheap and simple. Do not worry no matter what it is it will be cheap. I got my honda wave 110 cc overhauled for 3500 baht this year. . I recommend just get it fixed and make a friend with the mechanic.

I am sure some do spend a lot of time and money there. All over the world there are regulars at drinking establishments.I am sure in countries like England there may even be second generation going to the same pub as their parents did. Peopled drink where ever they like the reason they like it is personal and not every one need know or perhaps they themselves cannot even say exactly why They just drink there.

All the solutions to the problem so far have been about recycle and use less. .Why not just ban plastic bags and be done with it. Go paper or bring your own cloth bag or bags.Why wait for people to get educated about it. Most people will never care. Once they dispose of a plastic bag it is not their problem as they see it. If plastic bags were not available there would be no problem. Just stop the sale and distribution of plastic bags. Then slowly start removing plastic in other things being made.

  Many things in Thailand we see now made of plastic used to be made from bamboo or other bio degradeable things. Not hard to go back to that. Maybe more labour intensive but so what. 

  I bought a small basket that is made for picking fruit at high levels on a tree just had to add a length of bamboo so it was useable. My neighbour  tried it one time and then went out and bought one made of plastic. A bit of upmanship. His plastic one will break same as my bamboo one. But my bamboo one will recycle easy. The neighbours will be a broken piece of plastic for hundreds of years.

Powerful guys have many women so what they all do it.

  Bob Hope used to keep some near his home so he could say he was popping out to for a moment from home and go play with his Gf at the time.or stop in on the way home. One of the Kennedy's used to go to brothels and hire all the women for his own private parties. There is stories of him in South America letting his driver join him in his orgies with all the women from a brothel. Power and women go hand in hand grow up folks.

That is the fun of being with them. You know that at any time you want. You simply lay down the money and the action is there.They play you,you play them.It is a meat market with quarantees. Go to any bar in the world and put effort into picking up some office girl or such. And the lies will flow and no quarantee you will end up in bed together.. Many times all you get is the lies.

Also no baggage attached to bar girl pay her to go and finished. 

What is really wrong is they now want to attract big spenders of the not so much fun crowd.The Hooters crowd. They want the guys to eat,drink  and barfine . In the old days it was beer and women simple. .

  The bar staff used to be good to the customers. I know guys who got so drunk the staff took them home and the next day the guy would come to the bar and settle his tab.for the night before.Now you have to watch your drink and check your tab constantly.

The solution is easy.  Go back 50 years.  Glass bear and pop bottles with at return charge of X]

 

Paper bags at grocery stores if you want you can use plastic but have to bring your own.

 

this will not only help the economy but will also help many of the people on the street.

 

As to the vendors go back to paper plates and bowls.  I am afraid you are not going to get away from plastic utensils but they are easily managed.

This makes to much sense and would probably cut into profits.

  I remember well the paper bags and glass bottles in Canada when I grew up. Large milk bottles sitting on doorsteps in the morning etc.

. The problem with glass bottles in Thailand. In the  past the bottles were glass here also. But when you bought the pop the store worker would open the bottle and empty into a plastic bag. I f you wanted to drink from the bottle and not use the bag you had to pay 2 baht for the bottle. The reason being the store owner made money from recycling the bottles.He sold them by the case and if a case was a bottle short he lost 2 baht. So each bottle was worth 2 baht to the store owner.

Many time here in Thailand the reason the walls crack is they haul in dirt to raise the level of the land and do not wit for the ground to settle.

  What was done at our place was extreme but it works. 

  After all the beams were in place  a 18 inch base of cement was poured as a subfloor. This made the whole thing strong. The dirt could wash away under the house and the structure would still stand straight just like a huge deck.

Wait and see how it goes in Canada. They are legalizing it.

This leaves me with a question.
