Appears to me the refugees and illegal asylum seekers want our countries but do not want us in the country.

Right wing vigilanties are going to stop street crime? The truth is they would be a distraction for regular police.
Who has has taken over Germany from German citizens - no one - so more hyper right wing BS.
I will try again. Post 30 got changed some how it was meant in reply to you

Go back and read and see how far off you are with what was said.
this poster stated perhaps in a way you will understand
Far right? Or just ordinary Germans sick and tired of being attacked by Merkel's welcomed immigrants?
Same thing is happening all over Europe, where ever these people were allowed to enter en-mass.
No protests in Poland.
Elvis I apologize for post 20 how it got changed I do not know.

You really missed what was said huh. Why it happened is in direct relation to the quote.Markus Frohmaier made
Not justifying what happened just pointing out why it happened.
Desperate people do desperate things. Some thing s are a mistake but the reason they are done should be what is looked at not just their actions.
Looks to me like Germans are getting desperate to get their country back.

I think you guys should look at what's really happening. ?
Trump is making it look like that he is getting tough on China, that's because he said he would do this during the election campaign. Let's get real here. America will continue to have a load of cheap Chinese goods at Walmart, regardless of what the White House says. We're not going to see factories in America churning out the same Chinese goods.
China imports a huge amount of food products from America's farmers. It's absurd to think that Trump is going to risk such a huge and valuable market for American farmers. And what's the point of this trade war with China ? Destroy jobs in America's farming sector (by the way, the farmers are the very people who backed Trump) just to slap taxes on the cheap Chinese goods entering America ? This just bumps up the price of goods in Walmart, it makes everybody a loser. Not a good idea. That is your perception of what is really happening does not it mean that is what is really happening.
China cannot grow enough food to feed its people. They need food simple as that.A starving nation is not a happy nation I would think. It needs American foods.
On the other hand America does not need many cheap consumer items Walmart sells. Also I feel a large percentage of Walmart customers do not work live off tax dollars and produce nothing for the nation. So what if they cannot buy cheap crap.may save on taxes for the working class. Get a job and help the economy. and buy American made .would be best. Perhaps a new job created because of this trade war.

Finally some one states the obvious.
But of course stating the obvious is not PC these days.

I know little about garbage fuelled electric power. But have lived in an area that had a hugh incinerator for burning just about every thing that was not wanted. Never any complaints of smoke or odour. I think it was so hot all that was left of the garbage was dust and all that came out the smoke stack was steam.

People just do not get it do they.
Simply get a drivers license and carry it with you. How hard is that to understand or to do.
The spokesmen for the new law opens the door to corruption are singing in the wind. People who drive with out a license are corrupt already. Those with a licence have nothing to worry about. What can the police do if you are driving legally? Nothing ,nada not a thing so where does corruption enter if a person has a license. This is so simple break the law get charged not rocket science.Do not break the law drive with out a care.

Why would the American tourist have such a high credit limit on his credit card? A limit in excess of 30,000USD is highly unusual. 30K+ is about 5-10 times higher than the average credit limit.
Why did the card-issuing bank approve the transaction without an additional level of verification - especially with the card being used in a foreign country? My bank declines transactions and sends me emails and text messages at the slightest hint of anything irregular, even on normal, low-dollar transactions in the US.
30,000 is not that much for a card. More than thirty years ago when i was really into cards I had American express unlimited,Visa 50,000,Master card 50,000 and over 100,000 on store cards. And that was 30 years ago Now 30,000 is probably average.

Just curious if any one knows what is going on with this. Did not think it good to start a new thread about it so went to this one.
This thread started 23 july so has been a while. I think if it was raised it would be news huh.

Of course that was not what he was referring to, why mention 'bleeding hearts & soft centres of American left politics'.
That's what we all were in those times probably that's why

tialwagsdog blames the MFN on "bleeding hearts & soft centres of American left politics." If there's blame, it belongs to the whole of American politics. But tialwagsdog's being a political divisionist. That plays well in Trump's world where there has to be clearly defined enemies.
Pretty weak excuse to go after him when you yourself proves with your post both parties were in power during those times. It was more to do with the times than any thing else. and I think that is what tailwagsdog was referring to.Trump wasnot even around for that whole time why bring him into it.
Your post comes off to me as more baiting than making any point.

Check history vs your apparent political bias.
Since 1980 and through 2017, China enjoyed ''most-favored-nation'' trade status with the U.S., which is subject to annual review by the White House. To reverse the President's approval, the House and Senate would have had to pass a joint resolution of disapproval. Obviously during this time span, China's MFN status continued to exist despite both Republican and Democrat controlled congresses and presidencies. That's not to say that during that time there weren't changes and unresolved complaints to the US-China commercial relationship.
So what is your point? They had chances to change it and didnot. Is that not just the long way to re say what tialwagsdog said?
1 hour ago, Srikcir said:. Obviously during this time span, China's MFN status continued to exist despite both
What you said here just confirms what Tailwagsdog said.
So really why did you bother to post this

About 30 years ago I was drugged in my room in Pattaya by 2 women. They gave me chiclets I quess the chiclets were coated with some thing. Knocked me out for 25 hours. I was lucky to survive. They robbed me of course but left camera and credit cards any thing that could be traced. The police took a report and that is where it ended of course. I could not believe my metabolism when I recovered. I could eat and my body absorbed the food as fast as I put it in. I remember eating a pizza and 2 plates of spaghetti and still hungry. and bottles of water.
Do not wish it on any one.

Strong flour is used for baking bread. Has a high gluten content.
Caster sugar is just finely powdered sugar, sometimes called icing sugar. Probably wouldn't make a great deal of difference if you used ordinary sugar.
Thanks for that so bread flour and icing sugar I understand that Sorry I am Canadian not British and do not know all the terms.

That is a very poorly worded article title. They did not "save" money. They are now spending less money on many things. Do they have income and actually put money away? Perhaps their average income is unchanged as he/she free lance writes, so moving to Thailand can on the surface save a lot of out of pocket costs. But how long can they stay in Thailand properly? what visa(s)? What Medical or accident insurance? And it certainly sounds like they are NOT reporting income properly to their home country and are dodging that. I am sure many other so called bloggers are doing the similar thing and not reporting income
Not sure about them if they saved it or not. But in my case of $20,000 a year yes it was hard cold cash in the bank at the end of the year. After tax .

Reminds me of years ago when I used to holiday here. I had a rented motorcycle and was at a highway intersection in Pitsanulok.one morning. The light changed and I started to go through the intersection I quickly noticed no other bikes were moving I stopped just in time as a pickup raced in front me not more than a foot away. Woke me up to what can happen.
