I visited a few small scale dairy farms in CM area......it was enough to make me stop drinking milk. Basically cows kept in near darkness up to their heels in their own <deleted> and tethered on short ropes to metal poles. Many had deformed legs, were lame, skin and bones. Never even able to walk a short distance in their miserable lives.

Three boys drown in NE after going to the temple for sweets
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
It's madness why people make all these 3 -4 or 8 meters deep death traps....with steep, slippery, crumbling banks, with no way of getting out They might as well just dig pit fall traps lined with poison tipped spears on the bottom. Also, children at 8 years old should instinctively be scared to go swimming in such a dangerous looking pond in the first place. What's wrong with people these days? Have they lost basic survival instincts? The owners of that death trap should face criminal charges due to not fencing the thing off ..or at least not having signs to warm not to swim. -
Snake AND crocodile - busy day for Thailand's animal catchers!
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Poor crocodile. I wish they would let them live free again....they are native wildlife here...plenty of nature reserves they could re introduce them. It's just going to end up in a filthy overcrowded crocodile farm to get fattened up for meat and leather.. -
llustration depicting trans discrimination goes viral
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
One one hand you say you think people should be employed due to their qualifications and abilities, the on the other you are saying companies are right to refuse employment to people if they are trans / LGBQ ...even if they are qualified!!!! -
llustration depicting trans discrimination goes viral
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I see you have a real passion for LGBQ matters and the subject is close to your heart, as you post on all threads about these subjects...usually with very long detailed posts....always AGAINST anything LGBQ. I think it's clear to everybody that your are on some kind of campaign against this group of people. In the case of the OP people should be employed for a job due to their skills, personality and ability to do the job...their sexual orientation, gender or race should not come into it.- 142 replies

Wow....that is amazing! I would have loved to shave seen those. Great photos.. I read that one major contributing factor to the birds decline is that they are caught in nets and eaten by people in Burma when the birds are migrating through there.

No...it's not a bird lover forum, but most people find the idea of killing defenceless birds abhorrent. Truthfully it's easier, less time consuming and less expensive to simply throw a cover over your scooter than it is to go out and buy a weapon, and then spend time every day waiting in ambush to shoot pigeons that poop on your bike...then dispose of the dead birds. The only conclusion I can reach is that you dont want to take the logically easy way as you want to get a perverse thrill from needlessly killing pigeons. After you kill them will you move on to the mynah birds which also poop on your bike...then the sparrows and bulbuls..then the cats and dogs that pee around the place? You never answered my question as to why they are pooping on your bike. Pigeons do not poop as they fly over it...they only poop on things they are resting on / walking on or roosting / nesting above. So...if the birds are roosting above your bike...move the bike..or block off the roost. If they are sitting on your bike (I don't know why they would be doing this) then put a cover over it.

Caution from Immigration Police
jak2002003 replied to Shannoblic's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In the old days at CM there were some imm officers who seemed to get a kick out of asking for documents and extra stuff that was not needed so they could tell you to come back...usually the next day...after you had been waiting in the heat and crowds all day. . Thankfully it's not like that now and it's quite pleasant experience. Back then I used to photocopy multiply complies of all documents and anything possibly they might ask for. I used to hand the officer what was required and wait till they said there needed extra this one or that...then I presented I had just remembered I had them and pulled the extra document out of my bag. Sometimes they would say extra things after that...and to their annoyance I would have them. I always made a note of what was required at that time...and nearly each time it changed. -
Caution from Immigration Police
jak2002003 replied to Shannoblic's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It is true at Chiang Mai office too. We are told we have to do it if we leave the country and come back....even to the same address. We do not have to do it if we travel about inside Thailand. You should know different immigration offices have different interpretations of the rules...it's up to them what they want to enforce....so you giving people blanket statements could well land someone in trouble. -
I dont believe you sorry. They will not poop on your bike if you are not parking it under a place where they roost. Are they roosting on your bike? Sounds to me you are just after getting a kick out of killing some defenceless birds. If they really are causing you a problem then the answer is to park you bike away from where they are roosting. Even just throw an old blanket or plastic cover over the bike. It's not rocket science.

Pft! Same every year forever.. How is newsworthy, like it is some kind of shock surprise? What do people expect? So scared of covid yet this toxic stuff is more likely to cause people here serious ill health...but no one seems to give a dam about air pollution.. no money to be make in it is my thought.

VID20210729150409.mp4 I keep harvesting lots of these fish out of the ponds to give away. Also keep some gourami fish, Siamese fighting fish, mollies and some small brown native fish a neighbour's kid dumped in there.

I just made my own ponds with normal concrete....nothing else.. you can see videos on YouTube about how to do it. I don't like the tiled look...looks like a swimming pool and you would forever be cleaning the algae off the tiles. Also I hate the plastic pond liners...they are ugly and fake looking and give no grip for plants to grown. I made 2 natural looking ponds with a layer of sand on the bottom and lots of water plants. I don't keep koi though...just little fish to eat mosquitos, and wildlife gets in there on its own; like frogs, snails, dragonflies and water bugs etc. All I have to do is chuck out loads of the water plants a few times a year and also do a few partial water changes with dechlorinated water. The water stays crystal clear and clean with no filter as I don't have big fish in it to poop a lot. The fresh concrete will harm fish in a new pond though...so you have to either give it a coating of pond sealant or let water stand in it a few weeks and then drain it out and refill it.

Yes they are. You think a Thai person can go on holiday to UK or American and then get a job there or start their own business?

Why? If you are vaccinated you have nothing to fear have you? If he gets covid and, in the unlikely event, has to go to hospital then he will have to pay. What is the problem? Why ban the unvaccinated from traveling? They still have to get the test to say don't have covid before they fly anyway.

Dont agree with you about the strawberries....I prefer the Thai ones...green and dipped in the salt. The huge tasteless red ones in UK supermarkets just taste like sweet water. But the wild strawberry are very good Agree about the rear of your post 100 percent though. -
Breeding stations???? Do they mean they are farming wild animals? Why? Are they selling them for meat? And what is the Center for Study and Management of animals? Again...they are wild animals. Thing you are supposed to study and manage them in the WILD in the national parks, not in cages. All seems dodgy to me. Except for rescued or injured animals that are kept till they recover and they are released into the wild, then there is no reason to be keeping them in captivity.
