  1. I meant the hinges https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i3825838129-s14579226168.html
  2. yes, the photo shows the frame can extend
  3. okay, I tried out some recommendations from this thread. Mr. DIY - the shop in my area (Rattanakorn Market) doesn't sell reading glasses Big C Pattaya Tai: 2 rotating stands, piss poor selection, nothing below 1 dioptre and expensive: 199 to 259 baht. Tesco Pattaya Tai: same as Big C, but only 259 baht. so it seems my question still stands. I tried out some glasses and it seems I need 1 and 0.75 correction, I'll check if I can find something on Lazada. 0.75 is a guess because they didn't sell it. EDIT: So I ordered 2 pairs with different corrections from Lazada for 94 baht. Let's see if that solves my problem.
  4. https://kyivindependent.com/peskov-russia-considering-variety-of-options-on-how-to-respond-to-alleged-ukrainian-drone-attack/ Peskov: Russia considering 'variety of options' on how to respond to Kremlin drone attack you know, Ukrainians are really scared about these threats. there are even rumours making the rounds that Russians are going to bomb Ukraine or going to invade and kill Ukrainians. crazy, right ?
  5. or infiltrated Ukrainians, or Russian partisans ... or or or
  6. some people will claim it was God's will to make everyone suffer unnecessarily.
  7. all depends on how the basket is composed and where retail prices were measured. typically, these baskets are out of touch with reality all around the globe.
  8. this is an area of the economy where the market works very well, salaries will adjust if needed.
  9. another series I recently watched: Red rose ** UK series about youths threatened by a dangerous phone app. I definitely needed subtitles! Interesting premise, but I felt the story was "schlepping" to borrow from Yiddish. Watched the first episode and then part of the second and the series failed to hook me. The story is interesting, but the way it was treated made me feel like the series didn't use it to its full potential, I hope something similar gets made, but this time with an app with much much darker motives.
  10. some more I have been watching: The old man ** an old man with a dark background. the story has a few good twists, but didn't impress me. the acting isn't stellar, I disliked the lead actor playing the "old man". The peripheral *** near-future sci fi. interesting premise, and story ok if the public is willing to overlook scenario weaknesses. Star Trek Picard 3rd season * awful. geriatric cast, retarded scenarios, magic science, deus-ex machinas, plot holes, bad acting, yuck. (and I generally like Star Trek) Ms. Marvel *** maybe **** for very young audiences (< 14y) Marvel for schoolgirls. Nice visuals, heart warming story, teaches tolerance, caricatural "bad people", etc. I felt a little out of place watching it as an adult. Poker Face **** I have only watched the first episode so far. Well made thriller, plot works. Reminiscent of Fargo. I'll watch the next episodes when I feel more like it. I'm a bit tired of that kind of story, so I'm probably not giving it all the attention it deserves. The offer **** A series about the making of the movie "The Godfather". Well made, entertaining. The night agent **** US agent thriller. Not very imaginative, but well made, solid entertainment.
  11. damn, I didn't think of that. do you know any good forum where I could ask ?
  12. just comparing in terms of like/dislike and if I keep it on my NAS after watching or not. yes, I agree about Rufus Sewell, The Man in the High Castle was a good series, interesting plot. It didn't achieve a permanent place on my NAS though. The beginning of the series was good, in the middle it meanders and I feel the ending was rushed. **** nevertheless ????
  13. the US Diplomat is a clear winner for me, although the UK series has prettier landscapes. but the UK series has a very shaky handheld camera, made me feel a bit seasick at times. didn't like the plot or the characters, I didn't finish episode 1. I'll free up the space on my NAS.
  14. we're not forced to stay in heavily polluted areas though.
  15. convert them into video files.
  16. I tend to notice only what I am interested in, sometimes not even that ???? thanks for all the replies
  17. can anyone recommend a shop selling cheap reading glasses off the rack ? looking for 40, 60, 80 baht type of glasses
  18. what a doofus Trump is. but Turnberry is nice, great links. played it when I toured Scotland in 1988. St Andrews, Carnoustie, Gleneagles ... today that would be mission impossible.
  19. easy, only accept deliveries for which the buyer sent a copy of the order summary beforehand.
  20. let's hope their entire rail network gets disrupted
  21. you might want to delete that video, I believe you might be exposed to prosecution in Thailand
  22. it's a quicktime .mov video file. some deficient browsers won't show it. chrome !!! 555
  23. I watched "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" https://www.netflix.com/th-en/title/81518991 https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/park-eun-bins-extraordinary-attorney-woo-sparks-autism-debate-512262 it's a bit difficult to describe in a few words. the series is extremely well-made, lots of attention to detail and clear images, the actors are very good. it's not a thriller, it's lighthearted, giving fuzzy warmth from time to time but also touches darker topics. I was curious to see how a Korean show would treat that subject and also wanted to see more of Korean society than "Squid Game" (*****), "Hellbound" (***) and "My Name" (****) showed me. the article on wionews.com is correct in saying that the character Woo is unrealistic, but there would be no show with a realistic one. it's more like a pot pourri where autistic persons will recognize some of their traits. I'd give it **** . I will be watching season 2.
  24. and is the non-American one as good as the American one ? ????
