  1. It appears that many teams seem to enjoy passing the ball amongst themselves rather than actually scoring goals

Indeed. A team that passes the ball around their own defence will keep possession and increase the % possession but the ball isn't much good there if your looking to try and score.

Most fans would rather WIN ugly than lose playing pretty footnall --- it's not how that counts it's how many.

  2. Most likely not the flu and perhaps more serious. Symptoms to look out for which may mean that you have a different and more severe illness include:

    • Rash - in particular if dark red spots develop that do not fade when pressed.
    • Stiff neck - particularly if you cannot bend your neck forward.
    • A headache that becomes worse and worse.
    • Dislike of bright lights - if you need to shut your eyes and turn away from the light.

As previous poster mentioned if you are well enough to spend time on the internet your time may be better spent at the doctors office.

  3. Okay as a neutral I thoroughly enjoyed the match and thought LFC deserved the win.

    Why?

Thought both teams put on a great show and that te referee contributed to a free flowing game.

Yep, the ref was how refs should be. Great example.

Why??? Obvious answer would be they scored more goals. United were impressive on the ball but failed to turn possession into chances........ if you dont make chances you dont score goals you dont win games.

  4. Based on my own experience the 2.5l 2wd provides plenty of power straight ;out of the box'. Fuel ecconomy is superb.... do I have numbers to back up my statement - nope - just thousands of KM of hoghway and town driving.

I dont find it the most comfortable ride ever --- its still a truck --- but in terms of HP and fuel economy this is an excellent choice.

The fans - pretty much the usual banter with plenty boos for Evra - what else was expected? I'm sure he knew he would be booed --- big deal?

Sounded hostile but this was a huge game -- a huge rivalry. Sadly the media are focussed on one moron who was caught gesticulating at Evra - one guy out of 40K+........ media sensationalizing events AGAIN.

Is Carrol the biggest flop in the history of expensive transfers -- guy was brought in to score goals yet looks as of he ouldn't score in a barrel of fannies. Oh but he can chest the ball and hold it up ---- BIG DEAL. He makes Crouch look like Pele.

For the neutral this was a fairly intense enjoyable game - wel done to players, officials and fans.

  6. What surprised me was that it was broadcast in the first place! No, I would not call this Thai Bashing. Just questioning the ethics in journalism.

I re-read my post. I did not mean t imply you were specifically Thai bashing. I was anticipating a plethora of 'the usual suspects' joining this discussion. My strike was pre-emptive. wai.gif

  7. Dont lets start Thai bashing again.

Some of the most repulsive sickening TV footage I have ever seen has been on Pattaya television. This is run mainly by farang for the farang audience. They appear to have a director with a 'dead body' fetish. I'm sure if they could get footage of someone having a 'pony and trap' that too would be aired.

  8. Point a weapon at police anywhere and you are likely to be dispatched with extreme prejudice. Thailand is no different .

This scum-bag had already murdered an innocent woman. What about her family -- sons / daughters, mother / father, brothers / sisters - how are they feeling today???

Chalk one up to the good guys.

  9. I have personally seen drug use in Holland and used myself (xtc) and most of us were casual users with a normal life and work next to it. Some people however can't handle it. But many can. Must be a factor like meom is talking about.

Just like you get people who get addicted to alcohol

Yes the Dutch seem to be able to handle their drug use pretty well.

Drugs and music often go hand in hand which might explain why some of the best club dj’s / music producers are coming from Holland as well. Armin van Buuren, Sander van Doorn, Tiesto, Laidback Luke, Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, Don Diablo, DJ Chuckie, Afrojack etc. to name a few.

Not sure if there is a genetic link thoughintheclub.gif

Excellent!! Bragging and sycophancy about how well some people, a particular country's nationals, can 'handle' their drugs.. Nice one lads!! . - How many E's can you knock back?

It's not about genetic links it's about how you count the statistics according to Idiot O'reilly on Fux News

  10. Spot-on!

Furthermore, Thailand is a free country and these embassies aren't showing Thailand the respect she deserves. They didn't discuss this matter with the Thai government before issuing their warnings. That's just rude.

Thailand should not have to deal with the repercussions of the United State's horrible foreign policies. If, however, potential repercussions are evident, the US should share its information.

Why would they discuss it with the Thai government? The Thai government would just tell them not to say anything, it's all under control, we have the suspect in custody, there's no threat. Just the same lies as they've been telling everyone else.

For all any of us know it probably was discussed with the Thai government by the US. Anyone who says it definately was not is only speculating.

But they didnt discuss it openly in the media - there was no 'play-by-play' account of the investigation therefore the authorities were incompetent. And more worrying they didnt consult TV posters who are amongst the most informed in the world and who have many contacts in the intelligence community. clap2.gifclap2.gif
