  1. Crackdown on Bangkok taxi drivers who refuse to accept passengers

Clampdown on taxi drivers who refuse to accept passengers

To crack, or to clamp, that is the question, though a question more at home in a hospital's operating room in my opinion. I do hope they will figure out whether to crack or clamp those taxi drivers, because if they do refuse passengers, they deserve a proper cracking/clamping. Just make sure you don't crack the ones up for a clamping and vice versa, as this could cause a legal backlash resulting in a crackdown or clampdown on the Land Transport Department. tongue.png

Pattaramon maintains the Thai agency who managed the surrogacy said the couple wanted her to have an abortion -- illegal in Thailand -- once medical tests revealed the boy had Down's syndrome, but she refused.

I think this sentence should read:

Pattaramon maintains the Thai agency who managed the surrogacy -- illegal in Thailand -- said the couple wanted her to have an abortion -- illegal in Thailand -- once medical tests revealed...

  3. Can I follow both Christianity and Buddhism?

Don't be a follower, do what you know/feel is right for you. Don't rely on the views of others, especially priests/monks, make up your own mind. 'Worship' is an invention of the priesthood, not a requirement of any religion, just being decent is enough.

He added that the red-shirt activists asked to say on in army’s custody claiming that she felt unsafe getting out.

Could someone translate this translation? My brain hurts...

    Mine too. blink.png

A bit childish guys. Obviously two typos. Try:

"He added that the red-shirt activist asked to stay on in army’s custody, claiming that she felt unsafe getting out."

    Thank you, uncle  wub.png

Meanwhile, some NLA members appeared unable to use the voting machine properly, which resulted in the first count having a significant number of votes "missing".

The first order of business: vote to buy new voting machines (I have a cousin who can get us a good deal), oh can't vote, machines not working, can someone please go to Seven/Eleven and borrow their calculator?

Until the new general elections in 2015/6, no need for voting machines - the intention is that all NLA decisions ideally will be unanimous (as per this vote), but if not then motions will be carried by an overwhelmingly majority of NLA members (>75%).

After all, many of the NLA are former military men, and the rest have been carefully hand-picked.

Dude, you ruined a perfect lighthearted and ironical post which wove together several topics of interest (ineptitude and corruption of officials, Seven/Eleven to the rescue), by turning it into a statement full of statistics, percentages and dry, boring unfunnyness...undoubtedly carefully hand-picked. My post lies mortally wounded, suffocated and near death - I hope you are happy! passifier.gif

Another suspect who allegedly supplied arms to red-shirt thugs to harass protesters

These are certified harassment-only weapons, by no means should they be called shoot-to-kill-maim-wound-poke-your-eye-out-weapons!
You sure about that? Any evidence to link to?

The OP would appear to say something very different.

"Police alleged that the suspect supplied war weapons and explosives"

Edit: unless you are being sarcastic that is.

I confess, I do have a sarcastic streak. Posts on TV never fail to bring it out...
