  1. Pornthep Siriwanarangsan, director of the Department of Health, explained that the practice infuses food with whitening chemicals in tissue paper that contain cancer-inducing dioxins.

Are we talking about the white paper napkins usually accompanying a wide variety of food and commonly used to wipe ones mouth area after a greasy bite? If yes, then <deleted>!

  2. "The relevant organ of the (North) is carrying on the investigation into them and making preparations for bringing them to court on the basis of the already confirmed charges," it said.

That's why the tourists booked North Korea, the advertisement said that once there, a relevant northern organ would be investigating into them, a bit kinky but to each it's own...

  3. According to her, beggars consist of both Thais and foreigners, adding that they are either doing it voluntarily or being forced into doing it against their will.

    Yes, that about covers it...whistling.gif

(she added that during the daytime it is usually light, while at night it gets darker)

  4. The problem of illegal weapons will never be solved as long as it is so easy to smuggle in weapons left, right and center. Beside that, it's a cultural thing, that people think, they need a weapon or that they are incomplete personalitiies without a weapon. Say thank you to the Americans. And as long as there is a policy, that the one with more power can do as he pleases, everybody tries to gain power by having a weapon.

And all that is beside the fact, that some have hidden weapons for the big final countdown between political sides.

Nah, it's not the Americans to blame...it's the beer! Say thank you to Munich...(or Egypt?)

  5. In one year, they will draw up a plan to provide better facilities for workers, such as accommodation.

"Hi Poj, what are you doing?"

"I am drawing up an 'accommodation' for our workers."

    "What's an 'accommodation'?"

    "It's like, a room."

"Why? What's wrong with the factory floor?"

"It's too bumpy and America doesn't like that."

"Hey, that's a nice drawing...how many can you fit in there?"

    "Maybe 20..."

"You know, you can double that if you stack them on top of each other..."

"That's a great idea, thank you!"

  6. The main problem of the Thai justice system is that relevant agencies do not collaborate well and this leads to higher costs and poor effectiveness, Kanit na Nakorn, chairman of the Law Reform Commission of Thailand and a former attorney general has said.

So the main problem is basically a interdepartmental communication problem? Really? Nothing wrong systematically? No outdated, archaic laws? Everything ok with the public perception of Thai justice system?

Well, that should be easy to fix then, just tell them to cooperate, or else...

  7. If I understand correctly, this is what the politicians themselves declared...

In order to be meaningful, it should be compared to previous governments numbers and even to other countries with a similar GDP and growth rate, I think...

In order to be meaningful, it should be compared to previous governments numbers and even to other countries

It is meaningful because it is obviously wrong.

It does not matter what other governments do or did. The present problem is this (now former) government. This is what has to be tackled.

Only here something can be done and similar crimes in the future can be prevented.

Following your discussion would mean doing nothing, just complain. "Oh everything was so bad all the time. We cannot punish this government because they did the same other governments did..." blah, blah....

You have some points and I did not elaborate:

    1. I believe these figures are what these PMs themselves declared when they took office...

so it should be investigated if they declared truthfully, and then how did their wealth change when they left office.

    2. Comparing to other governments and countries...

I would like to know where Thai politicians fit in compared with other unusually rich politicians (it's probably an exercise in futility)

  8. “This, in my opinion, is one thing that should be made by the judicial management studies and research division in administrative court of appeal syariah; why the profession as syarie lawyers is not preferred to term employment as professional-class job,” he said.

Had to reread this 10 times and still...hey Judge man, maybe you should get a different job...goat herder maybe, yup I think goats will get your meaning and they don't mind getting stoned as much...

    How's your Bahasa Malaysia?

I get by with Tongkat Ali's help, how about you?

    btw...Quote from Wikipedia:

English (in Brunei) is used as a business and official language

  10. Scores of activists and local politicians have been summoned and detained for several days at military camps, prompting many Redshirt sympathisers to live under fear of political persecution.

However, also prompting many more Thai citizens to experience a bullying-free environment and a first glimpse of what maybe a peaceful and law-abiding future.
