Meanwhile, deputy Police Commissioner General Somyos Pumphanmuang said the explosion at Bangkok's Rama IX intersection on Friday night - before the lifting of the curfew - might not be related to politics.
The explosion reportedly damaged two cars and slightly damaged a nearby police booth.
Somyos said someone might have discarded the Russian-made RDG5 grenade there and a car might have accidentally run over it.
He said it was also possible that the explosion was caused by a fight between local rival gangs of teenagers.
...or, how about a dispute between adjoining shop owners in the area...or, a love triangle gone out of hand...or, some farang did it...or, whatever
Dear Police Commissioner General, if you don't know what, how and why stuff happened, then better don't talk at all

Australia - where everything has evolved to kill humans.
Snakes, spiders, sharks, koalas. Especially the koalas. Nothing is naturally that cute and cuddly without a reason. It's evolved that way so it can lure unsuspecting prey close enough to be captured by their mind-control rays. Beware the koalas !
I think sheilas are the most lethal...

“I believe that the Department of Land Transport is professional enough. The English driving test must have been approved by a native speaker. The problem must be with misunderstanding on the part of the foreigners themselves,” he said.
I must agree with that official, the DLT must not lose face, therefore the problem must be with foreigners...

800 children mass grave - church 'has no records'
A Catholic archbishop in the Republic of Ireland has said the church has no records about the burial of nearly 800 children at a mother and baby home.
Of course there are no records, because there were no burials, the bodes were dumped in a septic tank, you fool. I just hope they were dead already....
...and as for them all being children, well the Catholic Church's unwavering stand on contraception is well documented and I am sure you will find records on that in the Republic of Ireland...

"The colour of the water kept changing each day," Mr. Yongyuth said, "It turns into green, light blue, dark blue, purple."
There is a room in my condo where the water also changes color - from clear to golden yellow and back to clear, it does that several times a day, yet I have nobody come and worship my toilet....feeling unappreciated...

From the article:
minimum wage 18,975SEK/month
expenses 8,400SEK/month
take home 10,000SEK/month times 2.5 months is 25,000SEK, or about 122.000 baht
pay for job placement 100,000 baht
leaves 22,000 baht - just enough for Thai whiskey to drown your memory of a bear encounter, until next year...

Under the new laws for what can appear in the press.
Expect to hear some incredible numbers for how much money the guilty people have made.
Pray tell, which new laws?
Let go of those negative waves, instead join me in rejoicing in the fair opportunity offered to people to exonerate themselves.
And when you hear those incredible numbers, get ready for some incredible excuses!!!
I know Jatuporn's excuse already: It fell off the truck in front of my house

This happens too often. Too many corrupt cops out there that want to solve the case, no matter what.
That's not what happened in this case, from what I've read here. Nothing to do with corrupt cops, at all.
I was "speaking" in general, but why did the witness lie? There have been countless cases where the police put someone up to it, by convincing them of someones guilt or threatening them with arrest for another crime. There are lots of good cops, but plenty of bad ones as well.
According to the article the witness was a neighbor...why did she lie? ...maybe he never returned the sugar he borrowed...

If you line up 100 random Asian women and 100 random caucasian women, the Asians will always average about 7/10 between them. The caucasians, 4/10 average. For me, anyway.
I'm sure all those women really value your opinion, Lloyd.
...and I am sure that 100 random Asian women and a 100 random Caucasian women are standing by for Lloyd's call to line up at a moment's notice...

How long do we have to wait for the police to ask Interpol to help arrest the missunderstood fugitive in Dubai? The guy already is convicted by the court so the necessary evidence is there.
The government at the time rally tried, but gave up after Interpol asked for completed forms in triplicate with passport copies, recent pictures and a hand-drawn map to his residence...

Why do you think it wasn't actual police officers? They are paid diddly squat and have to support their families somehow.
In normal times I would agree with your point, but right now the police is being scrutinized much more than before and for them to be pulling off something like this story they gotta be really, really dumb...so I think it is private enterprise and not police...
