It's raining, there's nothing on TV, no friends on Facebook, read all the comics already...ah, I know!

Saying allegations of possible military complicity in the trafficking of the vulnerable minority group was a matter of national security
How so? The Navy maybe has a Thai James Bond undercover with the refugees to report on S.P.E.C.T.R.E.?

technique, my man,
she changed her profile to say she was no longer looking for someone
how do you know she does not have other profiles?
how do you know there is a husband?
examine your answers really well and then make your decision.

The judges deliberation:
1st judge: "If we don't give her the extension, we'll get grenades thrown at our houses..."
2nd Judge: "...or worse still, they throw Jatuporn's and Thida's feces at us!"
3rd judge: " ...or they curse us with ancient magic involving menstrual blood, bah!"
4th judge: " ...or all of that at the same time!"
5th judge: "yes, but if we grant the extension the yellows will whistle in our ears until the ear drums explode!"
6th judge: "I abstain"
7th judge: "have to go bathroom, this is really not easy on my bladder"
8th judge: "I'll join you"
9th judge: "I've got it - let's just deliberate for about 2 weeks, and then deny! Everybody gets what they want!"
Chorus: "You are freakin' awesome, man! Judge of the year!"

Just wondering if the reason was really that she was a western person with a Buddha tattoo, I am not so sure if a Thai, or other Asian national would have been deported for same.

Local government officials are concerned that Pattaya will only be known for its sex industry and crime.
Isn't that enough? What else you want to be known for?

Anyone else noticed each time they find same number 50?
It's like a quota, once 50 found operation stops
Yes, that's when they get their bonus...

Ferries in Thailand meet safety standards: Marine Dept
I'm sure they do...
Now, what about the crew, captains, owners, insurance, what kind of standards do they meet?
Ah, I am sorry, this is not what is being investigated here, getting ahead of myself again...

Dr Rienthong Nanna, the leader of a new ultra-royalist vigilante group. The group that Rienthong, a retired major general, founded on Facebook is aptly named in Thai, "Organisation for the Removal of Trash of the Land".
How about you tackle a much more real and important issue by taking your supporters and picking up trash that litters Bangkok and the country side. But you got to lead by example: bend over and get your hands dirty, you retired armchair General Dr (Goebbels???).
Now you can really call yourself whatever your name is, see above

CAPO member Pol Lt Col Anchulee Theerawongpaisal cited
Phew, only a "member" and not even a General...foggedaboudit!

Chaiwat would be transferred if found guilty
...presumably to another park? That will show him!

CAPO Chief Adviser Surapong Tovichak-chaikul has spoken on his organization’s behalf, saying that the CAPO only intended to let Thai society move forward
...yes khun Chief Advisor, Thai society is absolutely thrilled by your permission to let it move forward, even though it's only half a centimeter, the society is very grateful: "Thank you, thank you Mr. Surapong, for not making us move sideways or backwards again. Half a centimeter in he right direction is something we haven't seen in ages! Three cheers for Surapong, a true Thai benefactor!"

We will never get to know who launched the grenade. The Sheeple will say that it was The Red Shirts. which is what was required.
better to be a sheeple, than a nincompoop
But perhaps the latter is sometimes better renumerated ?
Possibly, but being a nitwit means also not knowing the difference...

R.I.P., my man.

The rally would be peaceful and weapons-free, she said.
...ok, but will there be poop, ready to be slung about by the red-shirted feces brigade?
-
Thailand could do with a lot less lip service and a bit more genuine caring from it's populace. Like the "I love Thailand" guy who smothers his beloved country in litter and junk on the side of the road.

A good thing, hats off to the BiB.
-
threw rotten fishes, eggs and even human excreta
The Red Brigade collects feces for ammunition every morning. Wonder who in the red leadership contributes the most kaka on a daily basis. Maybe they have a competition:
1 pound of steaming dung from Jatuporn, vs. a semiliquid cup of yesterdays extra hot somtam squirts from Thida - who would want to be the judge of that? Only red shit slingers...
-
neither Mr. Jatupon nor Mr. Nattawut attended; lawyers representing both activists said they were ill.
...must have caught the same social disease from each other...

Why do Thais shilly-shally all the time and never actually get on and DO something?
Because the simple fact is that they hate confrontation in whatever form.
that's not quite true, they are very enthusiastic at the 10 vs.1 fight...
-
If it is ok for Red Shirts to bully and intimidate venue owners in Chiang Mai into cancelling events and concerts of known anti-government artists, then not renewing an annual contract seems a much more civilized and legal way, wouldn't you agree, Ms. Suda, lecturer of arts?
you mean the same way the Yellow Thugs bullied and intimidated VOTERS? and election workers??
don't pick on reds - CONDEMN bullying, intimidation and violence on BOTH sides
I like to pick on reds, because they make such juicy targets, yellows are too dry and don't have much flavor...
-
If anyone has learned anything from this, it would be:
1. don't trust the Thai government to fulfill present terms, promises or contracts
then follows:
2. don't believe the Thai government to fulfill future terms, promises or contracts
then follows:
3. sit back and watch the Thai government squirm in all directions

International Parliamentary Union?
Another 3 letter word I never heard about before...
MPs have Union now? Representing them against who? The people? The government? Say, what??!!?? Absurdity cubed!
Thai MPs, are they members in good standing? Most of all, have they paid their dues?

My advice: grow up some more
I know you will not follow this advice, but when you look back in a few years, you will surely wish you had taken it...
