  1. ..

I know police officers in Thailand, they are good people. And yet - I know very well Russian. So I'm one hundred percent - officer did everything right. Hopefully it will not take a penalty of more than one hundred baht.

Just pray, you never cross one of those 'good people'

Actully, reading you like how this man assaulted a woman, I hope will have some dealings with these good people!

  2. Mr Morrowbay here it is a requested:

..as you can see South looks to be in trouble.

    Indeed sad.png

Something very wrong with that part of road.

But check the last pic, there is curious looking box on the pic, in weird angle. It reminds me of something... a leaning Pisa Tower in Italy!

What if this leaning transformer box becomes a major tourist attraction in Pattaya! People from all over the world go to Italy just to see this tower, a boring round building, except that it is leaning..

This here maybe the attraction in Thailand, TOT has been trying to find for years, how to attract anybody, but the poorest Russians, Indians and Chinese tourists!

  3. If that fails, make a call to AIS call center, choose English if course, ask to speak customer servise.

The AIS people see from their side all your settings, if the 3G icon is there on your phone, but you have no internet, it can only be Access Point Name not being set. Operator knows this, it is very common issue. The operator will then send the settings to your phone in minutes, after receiving the settings, you dont need to do anything, your phone sets the APN and all else automatically.

There is no need to go to their service centers, and sit there for hours, waiting.

  4. It's amazing what profound insights, indeed visions, arise after knocking back a few Changs in a Pattaya beer bar.

    Not really all that profound..

A vision? If I had vision after large Sang Som, it would be a dream, hallucination about Beach Rd being closed to traffic for New Year Eye..

Or if really getting into deep, strange visions, dreaming that Beach Rd be permanently closed to traffic.

.. Were you circlying around last night at midnight maybe? :)

Its perfectly ok, some people like to drive.

    Happy new year!

    :)

  5. I was at the beach at New years Eve, road was packed with cars, all stand still.

Many Thai drivers, maybe new years eve is not a big deal to them,

But lots of foreigners behind wheel too. That always seems strange.. Who wants to sit in traffic for hour after hour at New years Eve.

Maybe they were on their way buy food, is Tesco open 24 hrs maybe? I never been inside Tesco, and dont know.

But maybe they just like to drive.

  6. Nexus 4 and now nexus 5 represent the best value by far for a high end smart phone.

Battery life is the only negative. Brilliant value and brilliant phones

    Yes!

For 15.000 baht, there is no better phone than Nexus 5, it is really great phone.

Every Nexus at the time of release is best value for money, and purest and latest Android, no bloatware added.

  7. And now all Samsung mobile devices should be disregsrded, incl the Note 3, overall the best smart phone available today?

I've already given my reasons as to why I intend moving away from Samsung. I'm not interested in a circular argument with you.

    Huh? circular?

You advise people to stay away from Samsung devices, that is bad advice, it wrong advice.

Samsungs make some of the best smart phones.

If we look at all smart phone makers, HTC, Sony, LG, Huawei and others smaller ones, no other manufacturer comes even close to Samsung smart phone line up.

No need to getting into circular or triangular anything.

  8. Please go to Settings- Wireless and Networks- Mobile networks - Access Point Names (APNS on some versions)

Makes sure the following stiings are here:

    Name: ais

    APN: AIS GPRS

Most likely there is nothing there now.

If these lines are not there, you dont have 3G connection, even tho the 3G icon is there.

fill those lines as they should be, then go back to Access Point Names, click on a round dot to set your APN.

    That should do it.

  9. Silly, silly.

Yep, posters like yourself can never get enough of that same ol' whine in its infinite variations, so it will always fill threads here and sell newspapers. Always has, always will--again and again.

    Yo!

Again you are arguing with nice people of TV!

I'm trying pick a side here.

I would take your side, cost to you is less than the usual 500 baht for 1 vote, an accepted norm here.

This is Christamas, time of giving, yes?

So I ask Santa to give me a pic of the 6 pack!

(I also accept tasteful nudes, but ONLY in private message)

    We have rules here, afterall!

  10. I typed up a long reply, naivly using TV Android mobile app. It crashed as usual, just about when I was to click post button. Its 5am, dont have the energy to type it all again, using a mobile. Should have used a browser, I know.. But I keep forgetting that.. Good night!

  11. Want to know what Russians could have done about their government?

(If they wanted to, and they don't)

    Are you in Bangkok?

    Go outside, and have look.

Do it again next Monday, if you don't get the idea.

Not same thing at all. In Thailand military rules the country. What is going on on the streets in bkk now, is personal power struggle between 2 persons. It has nothing to with ordinary Thais. Ordinary citizen in this country has no say in anything.

In another post you sayd Russia as a nation is dead. How can you say that? There are millions of Russians who are not happy at all with what is going on. The nation is not dead. It is under iron fist.

I find it little bit troubling that you write off your own country, and fellow Russians.

You say, I should go out again next Mon, if I dont get the idea. And I get a feeling, that you think im clueless, and that you are talking down at me. Why?

  12. I see no reason for your optimism, but I don't really care.

Just one thing: you shouldn't really blame the "ruler", a nation only gets a government it wants, and deserves

    ..

You say a nation deserves the government they have.

Sometimes it is true. When in year 2000 Americans elected W to be the President, we can say people who voted for him were low information voters, and they deserved who they voted for. But the 2000 elections are not a good example, the presidency was handed to W by conservative Supreme Court.

But Americans voted him back in the office in 2004, when it was clear that man was not fit to run the country, it was very obvious to anybody, who payed even a slightest bit of attention. So yes, Americans deserved their goverment, and all the endless wars, human rights violations, and very close to sliding into Depression, possibly worse than the Great Depression of 30s.

But it is not always like that. What options did Russians have under Stalins dictatorship? What could have they done? Stalin murdered millions, wiped out many nationalities. Russians lived under terror. They didn't deserve that. But there was nothing they could have done. Only Stalins death in 1953 ended the terror.

Now take Russia in 2013. What could they do? There are no independent media outlets left in the country. Any opposition is dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I dont agree Russians deserve their goverment.
