  1. There's no money involved in "go after real crime". However Dildo Mafia brought "tangible goods" that will hit the streets next week. Poker Suckers will buy their "freedom from prosecution" with hefty "fines". How primitive and yet efficient could that be? The Dream Job!
  2. Who buys those junk tours? Every time we bought from thai it was disaster. They cheat on everything: seats on the bus, quality of the boat, tour guide that doesn't speak comprehendible English ... Buy tours from foreigners is even worse, esp. great white men and women. Just do home work and tour ourselves and if necessary join boat / mini-van.
  3. +1 I went to Rachadamnueng (????) stadium - they don't shy triple price system. Walk-in farang will pay helluva more than khun Moo. Say was at Lumpini until they shut it.
  4. The whole idea of such activity is squeezing money in any possible way. A.k.a "extortion". That's why it is more profitable to "raid" bunch of foreigners, scare them and make them pay "fines" than chasing drunk khun Din-Dong on his ugly truck. Nobody think that they are for "to save and protect" right? Same goes to so-called "tourist" police minions.
  5. Kamala_Trump_Covid.mp4 still want to vote for Harris? Think again - she goes ape-sh*t!
  6. Nice summary! Yes, I met foreigners who just obsessed with their own version of Thailand, vigorously rejecting other views and opinion. While living in Bangkok I missed so many amazing parts of Thailand! And it is not "Pattaya-boom-boom-Buriram" Now I'll try to catch up.
  7. I think this article is over rated - there are vendors of such things, there are websites etc... It was a regular bust, nothing special. And obviously not news-worthy.
  8. Good idea! Clean it up, enough of that post-Vietnam War trash.
  9. those devices were available in China Town for almost decade. I think about 800 thb. Yes it slows the meter. MEA guys are very angry: they see the consumption of [say] moo-ban and actual bills. Its dangerous business and the judge will be furious.
  10. Exactly! The only danger is gambling dens where khun thai (plural) might spend their saving's money and even properties. They are very very crazy on "luck". So probably that made sense to impose that law. Also, there are thousands of websites in thai promoting/offering online gambling. During every big sport event pawn shops are busy lending money. I saw middle age guy (his 50s) leaving whole golden necklace with amulets for 100K. Amulets! He just pulled it from his neck and looked very agitated. However a bunch of foreigners playing poker for little thrill and nice cozy evening has nothing to do "forbidden subject".
  11. Adenovirus-based vaccine method is very well documented I wonder why those fat US giants came up much later than RU. my guess is RU was rushing to create and spread that vaccine while Big Pharma was raising stakes and doing something behind curtains.
  12. I also like Thailand, but not that much! C'mon she a comic relief at Senate.
  13. The problem lays into "Teecha Andy mai put pasa-thai". So if pupil will ask what is the difference between desk and table there would be either total silence or freakiest show ever. Farang teacher in International school is not much different from farang teacher in college. Funny I haven't seen any farang teachers in Master program. @MalcolmB you're correct [again] if student really fluent in Thai why he/she would need questionable farang who won't be able/capable to explain what "distillation" is and what is "valence"?
  14. Dear fathers, please enlighten me: what "international program" actually is? Also, dear sages of Thailand, why nobody the subject of "study" and degree - Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate etc? Every University has certain inclination - Mahidol >> med, Kaset >> agriculture, Tammasat >> social studies Yes, they do have "generic programs" and they are very "generic". Chiang Mai University >>> I'm not quite sure, but they have serious and advanced faculties, not only vanilla MBA as they participate in few international projects (funny - with AU).
  15. "Fiddler on the Roof" set the best example of jewish wedding, But... its Ashkenazi branch of Eastern European Jews and recent wedding is very different from that.
  16. So they were arrested either for illegal mining (which is not illegal) or electricity theft/fraud. Anyone can mine whatever he fancies.
  17. he is in Chiang Mai University, not in Chula which is in Bangkok.
  18. playing cards is not "gambling" until proven. Few years in secondary school?
  19. I won't argue. BiB are making the law here. But only on their playgrounds in their sandboxes. Until it comes to the court room and judge sees all discrepancies and false statements from BiB and fake witnesses. Been there saw it myself. Many foreigners scare sh*tless of them and that is their only lucky card.
  20. Including teens as young as 15. But they are not "Chosen people" so make no mistake
  21. I think there are way too many "brown" people to make such assumption.
  22. dumb as f**k! How are they (policemen) going to justify illegal "storming inside" private property? Foreigners playing cards are not guilty in anything until the legal case is/was opened and legal accusations were made. Gambling is not same-same playing, that's as dumb as "working" and other "lost in translation" jokes.
  23. Great point! In some cities in ol'Europe there are QR-codes attached to buildings. After scanning with your phone you can enjoy high quality overview narrated buy professional. Full story, details >>> everything! Who needs Thai guide whose main idea is to take you to commish shop? Foreign tour guides are even worse - clueless uneducated leachers. Send them to the border and ban forever
  24. Deport them all from Thailand to taste their own medicine: "Too much heaven on their minds"
  25. God forbid! and yes, 'mericans like to gamble "what if" - Fro Bro then and now Rasta Masala. Sure they know how to have fun! No wonder english teacher with brain cancer didn't have a chance >>> too boring.
