Drunk people from the North Eastern provinces of Thailand go ape-<deleted> with uncontrolled consumption of booze. Aiming to bring as much "damage" to "dry" foreigners, throwing dirty tap water into their bodies, faces, cell phones. Friend had to lock himself in the phone booth for almost an hour while locals enjoyed themselves with booze and water. Happy Songkran, everybody!

The only issue you might face is complete loco officer who will disconnect you from power grid and arrest your property but it is very unlikely this days. Back in early 2000-s I got 3 servers arrested in Bang Rak's Data Center. <<< Pure extorsion. However I got them back after good lawyer visit and request documents supporting those actions. I got my hardware back within five days, actually a week. Once in 20++ years: don't loose face and think about bribe. You got nothing to worry. Your BTC can be cashed say in Zimbabwe and sent to you as "Nigerian inheritance" or whatever via WU. (stupidly funny, right?)

stay away from HRT in LOS. Way too dangerous

is Mining anyhow related to Labor Department? Nope! Any "working w/o WP" case has to go through proper investigation, facts and court. We are not living in Banana Republic after all, I witnessed few cases when "bad guy" appealed and won (in Bangkok and Pty). Even if a <deleted>load of BiB will visit your crypto-farm just tell them it's a fridge. Think about hassle explaining how electricity will turn into money in court?

Nicely put. Agree

Interesting topic about burgers in Bangkok (<<< that's in Thailand) turn into "when I was a kid I went to Mexican border". However, that burger from Sizzler is pretty good as long as it was not reheated fifth time. The worst one is in Mc.

NativeBob replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
big deal ))) I guess first half of foreigners at that island pay to the second half to learn something, and later they flip positions. the rest are growing and pushing 'shrooms and spiked weed. PS: Ad was found on social media. ROFL -

Russian couple’s dine and dash attempt exposed in Phuket restaurant
NativeBob replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Nice try 🤑 if that hole's management they ate was a bit smarter management could (and should) sue them. I remember a polish couple was doing jewelry shopping with "funny money" few years ago. They are still doing their time in Bangkok Hilton. seriously why did they go so cheap? some sort of cheap thrill? pretty dumb, imho -
Three Thai dishes rank in the world’s top ten best, says Tasteatlas

Take out Ajinomoto taste enhancer (severely abused by thais) and you couldn't even take a spoon of those "delicious meals". MSG rules! -

Southeast Asian Journalists Unite Against Corruption

Organized & sponsored by CIA through that little pinoy woman who received Noble Peace Prize for "fighting against corrupt President Rudy". ROFL -
There's a strict order not to open account for tourists. April 2023. Told by senior manager at Bangkok Bank Silom. Period. Get any other visa and you might get lucky. Thai GF or Wife won't help Also joint accounts are over as well. Same guy told "luck couple" (farang + decent looking thai female) - their purpose was to buy a condo but no, sorry, can not. Saying that still agents CAN help - how I have no idea, but they do miracles! For example an agent changed guy's expired debit card without guy himself and passport to sow. Only ancient bank book. I saw the card, it was 2023

Canadian man arrested in Buriram for 2,955 days overstay
NativeBob replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
There are more and more overstayers IMHO this days than say 10-15 years ago: draconian visa regulations, 500thb/day fines and long bans leave no option than just say "sc*ew it all, I'll stay over!" Plus corruption of course. 8 years? How about one huge brit who came to LOS in 2005? and in 2016 his son arrived works as a teacher in BKK? Not a single complain though -

Foreign woman criticised for urinating on Bangla Road, Phuket

The insane obsession of thai people to record everything on their phones drives me nuts: Girl had seizure at Pantip plaza with whole package of symptoms incl. twisting her arms and legs and gushing foam from the mouth. Thrilled thais around were filming like crazy - angles, closeups etc. Maybe selfies. Motorcyclist had a horrible accident - helmet crushed brains and blood on the road. Again: angles, closeups probably selfies. and more and more. This peeping is just disgusting! -

Pickpockets theft of Norwegian-Thai couple was karma, say cops

Pratunam is pretty dangerous area. This unfortunate couple should learn it somehow. It is like going for a walk at night in Bangkok slums and get robbed. Not a karma but utter carelessness. -
Rouble trouble: Russian woman fined for assaulting pregnant Thai

500 thb is very common. I've been fined twice at police station - 500 every time. -
cctv equipment is dirt cheap nowadays. Used to be some sort of luxury back in the beginning of this century, yet few funky hotel GM in Pattaya had them installed in rooms. Hidden, I don't know why. Perhaps for profit or personal entertainment? However: it is impossible NOT TO HAVE CCTV in the tourist area shop. It is the very efficient evidence of any sort of shoplifting, damaging goods etc.
