The AWD model has some fancy active suspension. The RWD's are passive.

If you are right, which I think you are, it really is a shame. Of all countries to not include it in!

I could be mistaken, but it looks like your state of charge is under 95%. According to BYD, to achieve maximum possible acceleration, SOC should be 95% or above. That would explain why you were quite a bit slower than 3.8 seconds.

There are three different sounds: The ice cream truck and two different versions of wind whistling through a haunted house. Here's the strange thing. There's very little difference between the two scary wind sounds; they both sound very similar. I don't see the point of having both of them.

I was messing about with our phones this morning, trying to connect them to the Seal. I think I managed it, probably more by accident than anything else. Anyway, this afternoon I found out some more stuff that I don’t believe is mentioned in the manual, although I could be wrong about that: We were out in the car and I discovered that both incoming and outgoing calls appear in the HUD. The name and number of the caller/callee scrolls across and, below that, the time of the call is displayed from the moment you’re connected. And it’s in 3D! I never thought I'd be living in the future, but here I am.

Until I'm convinced it's advantageous to use the app to charge my car at home, I prefer not to bother. If I need to see what's going on with the car when charging, I just need to go downstairs to the garage.

PEA is available at Bangchak (Lemon Green) stations. There are plenty of them about.
-
This doesn't make sense. From memory, I believe off peak for all the companies is something like Mon-Fri 10pm-9am, and weekends: Fri 10pm until Mon 9am.
-
If off peak suits you, PEA is 4.5 and EV Station PluZ is 5.5 baht. Peak times: PEA is 6.9 and EV Station PluZ is 7.5.

I hooked the Seal up to my new ABB wall box today. It immediately started charging when I connected the car. No app involvement required. There is an RFID card that comes with the wall box. That was not needed either.

My reply that you've quoted above refers to Greenside's question about the HUD in the Seal, not the Dolphin. When Greenside says, "Bandersnatch, That's the model I drove" he's talking about the Seal Performance.

Thanks for this. I cannot understand Thai but I can tell this has some interesting information. It's great that he shows how to use the emergency key. I will go through it again with a translator at my side.

Yes, I'd heard about this. Good to have it confirmed. This is great news as those sounds are really annoying. They always sound below 33kph and are far too loud!.

Two guys arrived yesterday to install the ABB wall box for my Seal. As soon as they walked into my garage, they saw I already have two wall boxes installed - one single phase and one 3 phase. So, rather than run a new dedicated cable from my circuit breaker panel to my new ABB box, they utilised the existing cable which supplies power to one of my already existing wall boxes - the single phase one. They installed a new breaker adjacent to the existing one on the wall. This setup allows me to switch between the two wall boxes, both powered by a single cable which runs from my circuit breaker panel. Hope this all makes sense. The installation went quite smoothly until we tried to test it to see if it was working. It would not work. Long story, very short: To get it working, an app, wifi and bluetooth are needed and a whole lot of faffing about, which the manual does not explain. The installers knew nothing about this. They were not even aware that an app is needed. I don’t know how she did it, but my girlfriend somehow eventually got the damned thing working. The lingering question remains: do I need to use the app each time I charge? I guess not. I’ll maybe try later today. Note: The wall box on the left is a replacement for my MG box which stopped working after four years. .

Window film: I installed Midas. Imported from the USA. Supposedly very good. Who knows? Certainly not me, but I'm happy with it. 60% all round; 80% on the roof. Looks dark from the outside but easy to see through even at night. It's photochromic. Not cheap.

Good lord!

Yeh, it's really great on the Seal! I think even VocalNeal would be impressed.

It’s got an Intelligent Cruise Control indicator and an Adaptive Cruise Control indicator. You can switch between having these visible and not. You can also change the colour of the display figures from pure white to blue - handy when there’s snow on the road in Thailand. You can also adjust the height of the display to suit your seating position, the brightness, and the “whirling”. I won’t attempt to describe what that is as it’s no big deal; it’s obvious what it is when you adjust it.

Thank you!

Have you ever driven a car with HUD?
-
Sorry, could you explain what you mean by this in language more suited to a tech-dummy? Thank you!

Anyone know what "Multimedia brightness linkage" means? I can't see any visible difference whether on or off.

Confusingly, when I click on “Vehicle version - Update” I get a message which says “Your car has been upgraded to the latest version: V1.0” The dealership told me to bring the car to the showroom and they would update my software. I went to the showroom but, surprise surprise, they couldn’t update it. They said I have to wait until I get an alert in my car informing me an update is available. When I get the alert, I must drive to the dealership and then they can update it. What a palaver!

Here is a photo of my software detail. It is different, and obviously older, than the version in Bandersnatch’s video.
