Spain.....pension's about £26,000 a year and I would have had a lifetime of sunshine, my UK pension has just gone up to £9056.84 and I've had a lifetime of drizzle.

I get the impression that Rossi really likes the Michelin tyres and IMO will be well placed every race this season,
Weird comment from Lorenzo after last race, where he said disparagingly along the lines of " Rossi wasn't even lapping fast" and this is true, because AFAIK the hotter track on race day meant tyres weren't really up to it.
This applied to ALL bikes tho and ,sure, Rossi wasn't breaking any records but he still beat Mr Lorenzo and all others on the day.
Yeah he was "brought up on Michelins" as he says, and I think you're right, he's going to be a big threat to the youngsters this season. What a geezer, 37yrs old and still fast enough to set pole, lead the whole race (barring about 2secs) and set fastest lap, the GOAT, no doubt.
-
Rossi can give the young riders a lot of lessons but I don't think that sportsmanship is one of them. Remember the next to the last race last year where he clearly kicked Marquez and caused him to crash? That kick and the penalty that followed cost him the championship as it should have.
No I don't remember that, I remember Marquez accusing him of kicking him, but subsequent many videos proved that not to be true and he was never sanctioned for that reason.

Not sure about that.....Tyre probs have been mentioned....Sure I don't know but....
Course they have, can't go admitting the old boy was just faster than them.

He is the GOAT!

Stop mutilating children, nothing short of child abuse.

Imagine just about every island resident attended that opening weekend ceremony. Biggest development in years, and just one more bridge to go it'll probably become another Phuket. Their property values just went up a notch, but for lovers of old Lanta it's the beginning of the end.
Drone video here: https://youtu.be/scRHIliIBiE
I like the idea of that bridge, gives lot's more options for exploring by m/c, just hope there's not one planned from the mainland.

And this, in a relatively quiet part of Cambodia with a relatively small population and expat community.
Quiet? It's hooker, booze and drugs central. Heart attack at 25 seems unlikely though.
Space Cat Bar used to be fun. All the drunks from CM with VISA problems moved there a year or two back.
"Quiet? It's hooker, booze and drugs central".....yeah great aint it!

Thanks for the reply fasteddie!
could you please comment what are the reasons that you are not using option 3?
Thank you in advance
Didn't know you could/not necessary.

MTX125, there weren't too many paved roads in them days.

1 normally but 2 if the hotel is a better deal.
I usually stay guesthouses and they can do better deals.

I don't think you are frequenting the right places. Shoe shops are good. Better is to wander around Lotus, Emporium or Paragon looking a bit helpless. You have to be able to read the come-ons though. They are not King's Road Waitrose or Cromwell Road Sainsbury's. Never had a problem!
Written by fat old limping git with a usually strategically parked Benz.
yep, shoe shops, post offices, hotel receptionists, even one very gorgeous and uppity pharmacist once, all chatted me up and never asked for a baht, but then I'm hansum man, or rather I was, just an old git now. Never needed no merc neither, best I ever had was a CBX1000.

That's a bummer, Angkor's the best.
-
Don't know, not there at the mo but I hope so, Angkor is the best beer I've had in Asia, was $1 a pint during happy hour in snooky when I was there, happy hour was 11am to 11pm LOL.

I always miss a good deal on buffet in Thailand.
Don't you mean "muffet"?

If you can afford to rent a car then that's always the better way, driving from Krabi/Ao Nang to Lanta is easy and you get the option to see more in your trip. You can easily google hotel options on Lanta, they're pretty much all on the beach.
Can't help for hotels in Ao Nang (once again google is your friend) as I have my own place in Ao Nang, or rather I did but I've left now.
Asking about day trips at the hotel always works, but then again if you have a car you can be more adventurous, enjoy, Krabi is a beautiful province.
Just thought of one thing, if you're in Krabi town you can get a longtail trip round the mangroves in the Krabi river, surprisingly good, lots of wildlife and views, boats found right at the end of Utarakit Road before you get down to the pier.

That's capitalism! Love the extra special complaint, "they brought buses down from Isaan", are they for real? do they really hate northerners that much?

Only 2 places:
either my hometown of Hamburg/ Germany aka the most beautiful town in the World...or in Khao Lak, the best and most relaxed place in Thailand!
I've been to Hamburg, you need to get out more.

2 dog stories in one day! I love it. I am a self-confessed dog-hater. There are working dogs and all the rest are muck-making machines that spread diseases and cause accidents. Until a responsible government takes control & does something about this problem that harms its citizens and discourages tourists then people will take the law into their own hands. Som nam na.
And I'm a self confessed dog hater hater. Dogs are the most wonderful faithful friends a person could have and spread much joy and happiness, give me dogs over people any day.
"the most wonderful faithful friends a person could have" is another human being. I feel very sorry for you if the best friend you can get is a dog
Don't feel sorry for me, dogs will never betray you. You must be very young if you think friends will not betray you, you'll learn unfortunately.

Rabies, Dogs and Humans Leptospirosis, Dogs Salmonella, Dogs and People Campylobacteriosis Cryptosporidiosis Worms Ringworm
What diseases?Fasteddie - you are mixing with the wrong people if you prefer dogs to humans. Dogs may spread joy in your world, in mine they spread diseases and dog-dung + a few road accidents on the side.
The above can be found at - http://dogcare.dailypuppy.com/can-canines-pass-fungal-infections-humans-6011.html
It is a site for dog-owners. I got bored- there are others but given your preferred life-style it would not be well received.
Had and been around dogs including Thai all my life and never caught any of those, not too good at spreading them obviously, now humans on the other hand....they definitely spread diseases, murder, rape, cheat, lie, steal, cause wars and spread suffering all over the world.
