    Well as Pattaya probably has the largest AN grouping it can't be too much of a surprise. Don't see even Bangkok. Udon or Buriram having more.

    Punching any Thai very rarely ends well, best to just walk away. Lesson no. 1 to me when I first came (and that was in the Dog's Bxllxcks) and what I have always passed on to others.

    Possibly people who have been here years and like what they were used to from time to time or a lot of the time. Ever seen Indians or Chinese in London eating jellied eels or pie and mash.?

    Shame isn't it, beautiful old Bangkok bar. Sadly tastes have changed to the Anytown/Anywhere sports bar or plastic paddy bar with TV screens everywhere. Bangkok bars are/were for a different generation. We can only be happy that we experienced and enjoyed them.

    Thanks Sheryl, 18 months ago I took your recommendation for St Louis, which took me on to Chula (same doc), I could now do with a general check up for a short list of things beside the above. As Chula have all my info they look the logical place to start, but their admin procedures are at best an irritant plus the inevitable hanging about. Being old is a right pain.
