    Sorry but please ignore the word scan on my recent post the procedure yesterday 9th May was a biopsy not a scan.

    My experience of hospitals in Thaliand is if you phone, email or call in and explain what you need they will give you a quote. They are businesses and you are a potential customer. Of course there will be charges for each appointment and then the job itself will have charges for materials, admin and suchlike

    Further update on the scan (that I had yesterday), the quoteq price was required in full on arrival as.a "deposit". No problem there, and the final itemised bill came to very substantially less. A gladly recieved refund. Plus an overnight stay was included. The hospital itself is fine, not as busy as I remember Bumrunrgad or BCH being, but that was a while ago.

    You continue to ignore the fact that they say he missed his flight. Missing a flight and not communicating for 5 days would cause concern, though you prefer the more sensationalist word "panic".

    Pint is just a generic term, everyone who's been here more than 5 minutes knows that it's only 500 ml. There is no short measure, no cheating, no shrinkflation, no big deal, no problem. The Old English do a questionable 500 ml measure including a large head on the Draught Leo, but for 45 baht or 85 a "pint" (depending on the hour of the happy hour) I have not seen anyone send it back.

    Best part of 20 years ago I was stopped by an Indian gentleman in Soi 4 who told me I had a lucky face. Not feeling my sunniest that day my response was "I've got cancer you xxxx" which was the case at that time. He disappeared, and after treatment so did the other.

    Yes to this, good places and I'd be surprised if there's better prices anywhere in central Bangkok. On Paddy's day the Soi 8 pub had it on special at 200.

    Each to our own, though Angus, caldera and the cyclist seem to have my thinking. Statements, 60 day hotel booking, flight tickets out. Probably sounds bad to me, I've never arrived by air so those bits sound irritating. Been on retirement extension for a while so the real world does not intrude much.
