Foreign cheques
It used to be possible to pay a cheque from a foreign bank to a Thai bank, it would take about 6 weeks to clear. Is it still doable.? Yes I know I could ask my bank here first but it's late at night and it was on my mind. Thanks all.

Farang-Ghost of Christmas Past: Returning UK after Decades in As
The policies that you mentioned are the ones that disallow correcting grammar. To try and clarify even further I was saying the policies that you opposed.

Farang-Ghost of Christmas Past: Returning UK after Decades in As
My reply to this appears to have gone missing, I pointed out quite strongly that I was agreeing with you and urged you to read my post again.

Farang-Ghost of Christmas Past: Returning UK after Decades in As
I must be sickening for something, I got the impression lately that the gg posting above was coming out with rational stuff that was worth reading. This thread has corrected that impression quite strongly.

Farang-Ghost of Christmas Past: Returning UK after Decades in As
If it was permitted to correct bad English people would eventually learn, literacy levels would improve and we would not be swamped with could of and should of etc. Policies such as you mention just perpetuate ignorance and semi-literacy.

What religion do you practice?
Ah obviously not. The 39 Articles of Faith.. The Protestant document which, jointly with Scripture, the Church of England was based on. Sadly ignored today.
-
What religion do you practice?
Quite correct. I was in Rocky Sullivan's bar in New York in 1998. Just thought I'd mention it.
-
What religion do you practice?
Do you really believe in the real presence that (in Rome's words) the wafer becomes really, truly and substantially the body of Christ. When your own senses of sight, touch, smell and taste tell you that it is just a wafer. I first learned that at 15 years of age in a dry as dust history lesson at school, it shocked me then and I'm still amazed by it now. Nice to meet you anyway JAG.
-
What religion do you practice?
If they call themselves priests they should not be in the C of E anyway. Are you familiar with the 39 Articles.? Good to meet you Surasak.
-
What religion do you practice?
Did you realise that the wafer just remained a wafer.? Proud to be a Prod here.

How much should a foreigner pay at government hospitals?
Yes last year at a private hospital I had to pay 100,000 "deposit" before a procedure and was then rebated 31,000 afterwards. Thai hospitals have a different interpretation of deposit.
