I disagree, the British, Churchill had promised a homeland for the Jews in 1917. were instrumental in lining up Palestine for the Jews. -

As you know the Ottoman Empire, where the province of Palestine was located, was defeated by Britain during WW1. No surprise Ottoman conquered territory was divided up between the British and the French.. -

Personally I find it weird Israel was created in the middle of an area known to be hostile to the Jewish faith for centuries and where the jews were a very small minority, again for centuries. I cannot see how military hostilities will cease in the foreseeable future. US managed to bribe a few countries, Abraham Accords, though I doubt it can be replicated unless there is regime change in Iran which one assumes would be a very bloody affair. -
"He has proved himself morally unfit for an office that asks its occupant to put the good of the nation above self-interest," they wrote. "He has proved himself temperamentally unfit for a role that requires the very qualities — wisdom, honesty, empathy, courage, restraint, humility, discipline — that he most lacks. Those disqualifying characteristics are compounded by everything else that limits his ability to fulfill the duties of the president: his many criminal charges, his advancing age, his fundamental lack of interest in policy and his increasingly bizarre cast of associates." The Decline of the United Nations: A Toothless Global Forum

The above issue can only be addressed by reforming the rules for Security Council members. However, at the moment there does not appear to be a mechanism to do so. Nor does there seem to be an alternative to the UN, which, except for security council does do some outstanding work. Currently world politics is somewhat equivalent to the extreme partisan politics of the US - Never the twain shall meet. -
The language you use is classic extremist right wing. Plus you really should factcheck from none extremist sources before echoing the usual rubbish regards Japan and so on. Becomes rather boring to continuously prove to people such as you the truth. What is the current number of Muslim voters in the UK? A hint... Muslims are estimated to form around 6.5% of the population of England and Wales, with around 2% in Scotland and 1% in Northern Ireland. Do you really believe the right of centre meme that Sharia Law will be imposed to replace the parliamentary system in the UK during your lifetime? Right of centre has been trying this line for a while now to create disharmony, hate and so on; it's BS.

Trump’s First Day Back: Key Priorities for a Second Term

Never trump -
Again misinformation from MAGA world. The numbers quoted include those released during trump's administration. We know MAGA world doesn't factcheck, so there is a possibility the liar will get back in power and destroy US institutions to the detriment of citizens. CNN had fact-checked the senator’s statement, and found that it was misrepresented to imply that such numbers of criminals had been released under the Biden-Harris administration. Those numbers roughly described migrants released from custody over a decade or more, including the entirety of the Trump presidency. “That statistic is actually over decades ... and some of them are in prison. Not ICE prisons, but federal prisons,” Tapper said, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Lindsey Graham hit with fact check after repeating Trump’s immigrant crime claims (msn.com)

Megyn Kelly is a trump sycophant. -
May be so, but a lot with actual criminal behaviour. I assume they haven't been deported due to lack of resources, legislation etc during both sides of the political spectrum in power. This includes criminal foreign nationals convicted of, or charged with, homicide (14,914), sexual assault (20,061), assault (105,146), kidnapping (3,372), and commercialized sexual offenses, including sex trafficking (3,971). https://www.baltimoresun.com/2024/09/28/ice-662000-criminal-foreign-nationals-to-be-deported-are-living-free-nationwide/

Factcheck on some of MAGA lies and misinformation: Capping insulin at $35 a month. (Biden passed a law that provided the benefit to all seniors. Trump had a temporary and voluntary pilot program for some.) Lowest Black unemployment rate. (Trump set a record, but Biden beat it significantly.) Passed VA Choice. (Obama signed a law that let veterans go to private doctors. Trump signed a minor update.) Saved the auto industry. (That was Obama. Auto jobs fell under Trump.) https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/09/25/obama-biden-achievements-that-trump-claims-himself/?utm_campaign=wp_fact_checker&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&wpisrc=nl_fact

Australian Aged Pension

Australian Aged Pension
simple1 replied to VOICEOVER's topic in Australia & Oceania Topics and Events
Australia does not have a contributory Age Pension scheme. Age Pension is funded by the annual budget. Of course we have the superannuation process and assessment criteria for Age Pension. I assume at some time in the future Age Pension scheme will change, but it will still need to provide for those who haven't worked due to illness and so on. What is often overlooked that if one's partner is on Jobseeker, any income for the partner over $75.00 per week is heavily taxed as well as some being deducted from your Age Pension, Again if you have a declared partner and they are working a large percentile of their income is deducted from your pension, that's why some couples declare they have separated otherwise a couple can be living in poverty. -
Again off topic as the OP is specific to the situation in Springfield and trump disgusting rhetoric, not immigration policy. Regards infrastructure needs, it is not the responsibility of the Haitians, but of government and NGOs. It certainly appears you are comfortable, indeed support, trump's hate speech and demonisation; is that correct?
-
The OP concerns trump's promotion of lies and disinformation concerning legal immigrants ( vetted refugees) in Springfield. Not general immigration policy, which, BTW, bi- partisan legislation was stopped by trump surrogates for selfish political purposes, not to Make America Great Again, quite the contrary. It would make a pleasant change to stay on topic rather than leveraging the topic in an attempt to bash the current administration. It would be even better to acknowledge trump's blatant attempts to encourage divineness and hate.

Rotterdam Stabbing Rampage Knifeman shouted "Allahu Akbar"

Atypical right of centre misinformation. Following URL provides the facts. e.g. The U.S. Department of State, opens new tab in its “2022 Report on International Religious Freedom: Japan” quoted Hirofumi Tanada of Waseda University in Tokyo saying that, as of 2020, there were approximately 230,000 Muslims in the country, including around 47,000 citizens. https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/online-list-japans-restrictions-islam-includes-false-claims-2023-12-08/ -
