  1. ???? "Mia san Mia" (Bayuvarian German dialect) then (If you would be a Bayern Munich fan). Let's leave it at that on the logical level shall we ? However, I dont like Tatoos - exept the religious ones - so far for the topic.
  2. Funny post ! This does comprize the whole of humanity since both conditions are fully excluding themselves and comprize everybody leaving no room for a third category. So you are in the group 1 - people that divide people into 2 types as you state yourself in the first sentence. What did you actually mean to say ? Well, never mind. ????
  3. Why not buy a decent software and use it ? These applications are not that expensive anymore and you would be ready for any other future use - provided you choose a software not based on a rental model (unfortunately many are now only available like this) I assume you have a Windows based system. Of course the minimum requirements need to be checked beforehand and then you can buy it online via download. If this is OK, you could choose for example "Corel Video Studio". This is what I use in its 2019 version right now.
  4. In Central Festival Pattaya discount is (sometimes) given to merchandise approaching the proposed shelf life (not bread, though). It comes as either a lower price or as a "Two for one" offer. The latter can be rarely used if it is on the same day, but I had once an opportunity to get "Two for one" exactly for the expensive item and day I wanted. I think Big C (Extra) offers as well discounts for items reaching shelf life, but only late on the day and supposedly some people are waiting for it. As I am not a bargain hunter this is not my thing but nevertheless there seems to be at least a very "weak" discounting scheme is implemented. It would be foolish not to do so - and it must be remembered - a proposed shelf life has always some "security margin" build in.
  5. Hand him over to Brick Top ("Snatch") - he probably knows what to do with him.
  6. Exactly. Like with tuna even bound for Japan. Caught thousands of miles away, frozen on the boat and kept frozen until displayed at Tsukiji to be sold for sushi. And the Japanese are really picky as far as the freshness of their fish is concerned. So to keep it as cold as possible all the way long is the crucial thing. And this is where probably failures occur with the (sushi quality) fish here. I have encountered some not so fresh salmon even in the most upscale supermarkets.
  7. It will be late for sure. But would this then be for BA1.1 and BA2 ? Looks like this all would be again like at the beginning of this all. Too late, wrong vaccine, difficult to get, angry moogradod.
  8. Where is the error ? I would like to become rich quickly so please do hurry ! Post the evidence, please ! P.S.: I do not see any error in the picture of the original post
  9. I would not rent to anybody, regardless of nationality. The crucial thing with motorbikes (especially big bikes) is driving experience, and of that you can never be sure of. I remember about 25 years ago the method was a signed copy of your credit card (you might remember the ritsch-ratsch machines) with the amount left blank. In this case they did not even ask for a driving license. And oh Boy was it dangerous. I did experience elephants walking out ot the jungle in Phuket right on the street. And a police car coming my way on MY Lane invisibly in a curve while I was whistling "born to be wild" to enhance my cruising. It was like a miracle that I could avoid a frontal crash (mind you: with a Police car driving on the wrong side of the road........). Hands off I would recommend.
  10. Dont they like Switzerland ? Investment requirement = 0 (Zero). You need a job, though, but after 5 years in the country you will get permanent residence.
  11. Simple test that just occured to me - and it is directed at YOU, the members of AN. I have a German Passport. This forum is English speaking. That means that the majority of the members are either British, American - maybe some Australians (rare, but some very nice chaps) and a very very few Danish, Swedish etc. - but lets say the vast majority is either British or American. That's for sure not far from the truth. Ask yourself: Does the factor that I am German affect you in any way while communicating with me ? (WWII related or just out of the blue). Nobody has ever met me in person (most probably). Think honestly about it. I cannot help but saying that there might have been some influence from some answers (or no answers) - at least I suspected that. Sort of prejudice on my part ? Maybe. Over-sensitivity ? Maybe. Actually there is no need to answer - it is only a kind of invitation to self reflexion fitting the topic.
  12. There is no new vaccine for Covid yet. It is supposed to be available next year. If you do not have 4 injections yet I would get the booster - if you have 4 I would wait. For flu you should anyway get a jab - and 800 and 500 is now really not a show stopper for your health I would assume.
  13. Jomtien Hospital is the perfect choice. Why change ? They do it on a walk in basis and are not overcrowded. They have a discount from time to time and use the latest 4-strain vaccine. My wife and myself always go there. And as a bonus it is usually on our way home directly at Sukhumvit.
  14. I noticed that, too, you are special ! Thats why you were appointed to join my exclusive ignore list. Have fun with the rest of the few extraordinary members.
  15. Pad Thai is a very complicated dish. I was floored when my wife showed me how many ingredients go in there and it is one of the more complicated dishes to prepare - although it does not look like it ! And on another note: Something "basic" may be very delicious. Much depends on the ingredients and their freshness - like in O-Toro Sashimi. Not Thai but just as an example. Same for Tom Yam. Then I suspect you not really eat Mot Daeng or Dip. But I am inferring here something on myself. Would not touch it.
  16. I do not know how many people really realize how Big Data and AI work together. If they knew they would be much more careful. 1. Information about an individual is gatered regardless if there is a benefit of it or not. The result is an extremely big database about everybody. Some of the information might be used immediately but a vast amount is not or only limited (example: Your shoe size). So far no fear. It seems to be completely harmless. 2. AI algorithms will be developed (because it is AI, they may be invented bythe software of a processing device rather than a human) which will reveal correlations between information that nobody else has ever thought of. It might turn out that your shoe size combined with your nationality and favourite dish makes it probable that you are less credit worthy - or if taken to the extreme - dangerous - if you combine even more parameters. 3. The further that is developed, the more information state organizations may gather about you - much more then you know yourself. Suddenly you are denied international travel and you have no clue why. You think that is some consipiracy theory ? It is not. Systems like this are already in place right now (in China) and are especially prone to be implemented in autocratic societies - which are on the rise. Ever read the phrase "We care about your privacy" on a website followed by a A-B choice to agree to what information you want to reveal while using the site ? I leave such a site immediately if this pops up. On my PC everything gets blocked as far as I can - "fingerprinting" etc. But even the speed whith which you fill out a form is sometimes a parameter which is collected. It is not that I want you to panic - but to be really aware of what is going on is for your best benefit.
  17. Main Vietnamese noodles Pho in their 2 northern and southern varieties are inferior to their Thai cousins I think. However Japanese Ramen or Udon are on top. Depends not only on the soup, but the noodles as well !!
  18. Me, too but you set the limit to 3.
  19. 1. My wifes noodle soup with full Thai seasoning board (important: peanuts) but no fish sauce 2. Nam Tok (hot) 3. Tom Kha Gai Only 3 dishes is really a bit hard so I just add one as a bonus: Panaeng Nuea - could add a couple more
  20. It is dairy based. Here is the picture of one pack with 20 portions - one for each Coffee. And it lasts long outside the fridge. And has nothing to do with Palm Oil etc. This concludes my contribution to this topic. Up to you to believe me or drink your coffee black. I have been using this "Kaffeerahm" for ages (in Switzerland - unfortunately not here because of its unavailability)
  21. The best is full fat real cream, but it is expensive and has a short shelf life. Coffee Cream (not creamer !) lasts very long even outside the fridge. It's a standard in every supermarket in Switzerland. You can order in every coffee shop a "Café creme". This is the standard coffee cup apart from Capuccino, Caffe Latte (Milchkaffee) - which I hate by the way and the other varieties.
  22. Check mate ! I just told my wife to bring one for trying. Hope she cannot find it. What we wanted was Coffee Cream. Maybe some posters on AN have been brought up without and do not even know what Coffee Cream is. ???? We are saved, I could reach her by phone. She did not buy it yet. ????
  23. Yes, he would definitely disagree. Lets as well not forget that we are talking here about Buddhism as a whole in its very vast shades, not only Thai Theravada Buddhism. Besides the Thai do really pray for Buddha for lottery numbers etc. But this is a mislead behaviour and has nothing to do with the Buddhist teaching which is aimed at eradicating suffering (and not contribute to it). They pray as well to Ganesha and other Hindu gods (think Erawan Shrine in BKK) and they have their own local animistic beliefs in spirits and practises. But this is all not Buddhism and should not be regarded as a part thereof only because it takes place in Thailand. To have several philosophies flourishing in a country side by side is not at all uncommon. There is for example Japan with many following Shinto practises while they are Buddhist. It has always been the aim of Buddhist representatives to keep the teaching as pure as possible (this does not equate to static - learning is always possible) although even when Buddhism was introduced to Tibet the local Bön Tradition had a strong influence to form what is today known as "Tibetan Buddhism".
  24. If you should ever get hold of them, take two out, remove the protective cotton around it and knead them between your fingers until they are soft. Then form 2 cones with round heads and insert them with the smallest portion first. Then push the rest in to close the ear. They really work well and you must be prepared to miss phone calls etc. while you are wearing them. For removal it is easy, just <deleted> them with your fingernails. Ohropax advises of course to use new plugs anytime you use them, but this is is not necessary. Marketing only. You may well use one pair 5 times. Just knead them again each time.
  25. I used the phrase "believing in something invisible etc." only to point to the posters who have abbreviated beliefs or beliefs that reflect a more materialistic (and sometimes stubborn) view. "What I cannot see does not exist" is such an example. As all such generalizations and abbreviations with the aim to emphasize a certain aspect for the only reason to make it more understandable are prone to discussions. But in this case it is moot to discuss these merely grammatical meaning. Not of importance. I guess my remark did even introduce more unclarity. This was not the intention and my mistake. You introduce as well the idea, that Nirvana (as something that cannot be seen you mean I suppose) is a real place. Instead of starting a sermon on this really sophisticated topic I would like to invite you to find out for yourself of what is real and what is not and what is both and what is neither. I would suggest that you consult first Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamakakarika which may be regarded as the starting point of the Mahayana Madhyamaka Prasangika Teachings. Followed by the the commentaries of Shantaraksh*ta and Chandrakirti on that treatise (because without commentary I have strong doubts that you would understand one word of Nagarjuna). The books are very well translated into English using the high standards of the Padmakara Translation Group, at least some. Very worthwile reading. Please be prepared to be confronted with a thousand pages and years of study. But how our world works on various levels is definitely not the easiest subject, and you do not expect an easy answer, do you. And not on AN I suppose - in a thread or post. Good luck.
