  1. So 2 clicks instead of 1 on the few occasions you need to pause....................
  2. Press the enter button, it will either pause or bring up a control bar at the bottom with a pause button.
  3. She has spent a good few hours over the last few weeks removing all the big rocks from behind the tree line and removing all the decorative pebbles from in front and re using them else where! To be fair the pebbles had been down over 12 years and had been buried during various planting over the years and looked a bit grubby. She washed them in bulk and I presumed she was going to return them to the same place but they ended up reinforcing other areas that already had pebbles on...........
  4. My little Thai friend likes to reorganize the garden on a regular basis. Now I'm stuck with a long narrow bare area of soil and devoid of ideas. What can I do to pretty this area up? I do have 2 small dogs so nothing that they can destroy.............
  5. Not buying online.
  6. But you paid less than 5k each ? Or is that what she told you......................
  7. Just looked at their website, they have Deestone at 3900 each, all the rest are around 10k+. Bridgestone Potenza 9960.
  8. One guy has sent photos of tyres with sticker still on. Definitely says Bridgestone Potenza.
  9. Year 23/24. Not online, they all have outlets. One quoted 500 Baht for balancing all 4 wheels if I buy his tyres. Actually checked B quik online and they don't stock my size.
  10. I need a set of tyres as I have just changed my wheels but the tyres that came with them are too big. B quik , Cockpit, etc want 10-12k per tyre. Many advertisers on FB are offering tyres for as low as 1,800 incl Bridgestone, Goodyear, Kumho , Toyo etc Year 23/24 What's the catch?
  11. Mmmmmm, more to it than I thought. I just liked the idea of a few homegrown fruits. Thanks for the detailed reply though.
  12. Is LS24 the only gardener on the foum?
  13. I have acquired 4 .small fruit trees in pots (without any fruit). A Pomegranate and a Star Fruit, both about 4 foot high, a Lime, about 3 foot high and a Tangerine about 2-3 foot high. Do I leave them in the fairly large pots or do I transfer them to the ground? If they need planting in the garden which ones need lots of sun and which need shade? TIA.
  14. I will buy the paint myself to ensure I have the best product hence my interest in the OP question rather than leave it -to Somchai to turn up with cheap sh*t. I got the number of a Thai who was painting a house and exterior wall nearby as I walked the dogs, looked a decent job, using 2 colours on the surrounding wall, one colour for the pillars and lighter colour inside which is common here and looked neat. I will ask him for a quote.
  15. I own the building, have done for about 10 years. Thanks for reply.
  16. I was going to ask the same question as the OP but a quick search brought up this thread. I'm no painter so would ask Thai painter to do it. Before reading this thread I presumed he would just paint over the existing paint after scraping away any flaky bits (not many) and filling any cracks. But this thread talks about primer and 2/3 coats etc, is this necessary ? I need to know so I can ask the painter what he intends to do. The current paint is reasonably good, but it is a type of magnolia so I was going to change to white. It hasn't been re-painted since new, about 12-14 years ago.
  17. Yes and yes. They took photos of the roof space, said all looks good, no leaks, all dry etc. And measured the area. One guy who quoted 8k has said it will take his team one day, not sure how many men that includes.
  18. Has anyone had this done and if so at what cost? I thought it would be a one day job, around 100 sqm, but I'm getting quotes of 8,500, 11,000 and 15,000 Baht for labour only. One guy, who is a one man band who said he can do it hasn't quoted me yet but he's on another job building something with large heavy steel beams and he's posted on FB he needs help and offering 600 Baht per day! I'm waiting for his quote.............
  19. Was these istalled during the build or after ? Can they be installed on any roof style?
  20. I would agree with you, I'm happy to pay extra for the 6'' over the 3'', I won't be doing the walls, only the ceiling. I've just had a quote from another guy who didn't visit the villa but he' quoting 85 Baht per sqm, he didn't ask if 3'' or 6''. A lot more expensive than I thought for labour, I presumed just roll the stuff out and job done in a few hours........90-100 SQM
  21. No I don't, I would love to install vents/whirly bird thing but not sure if it's possible/feasible.
  22. Not helping the OP but this thread seems to have the know how I need. I'm going to have my roof space insulated, one storey villa with tiled roof but no insulation in the roof space, villa about 10-12 years old. Looking at the SCG or Sunshield Extra Cool from Homepro, one is R-38 one is R-37 and a bit cheaper, does it make a difference ? One is 3'' and one 6'' thick, I prefer to go with 6'' The main Q is I'm not doing it myself so getting some Thai chaps in to give me a quote. The guy who came today said 6'' is more difficult to lay, takes longer so labour will be more. He says most people use 6'' in the walls, only use 3'' in the ceiling. Any thoughts please?
  23. It's not any old white paint, it's actually called Sunblock, available in Home pro and quite effective for a few years.
  24. Does it have Catchup?
