I looked at what was available from China most of it is cheep stuff that will probably not last long. One company I found had some ok stuff but they wanted a wire transfer before they would ship .. I dont wire transfer to any company .. Pay pal or AMEX if they dont take it They dont get my business. I did see a system at Home Pro the other day that looked promising I did not have the time to check it real good . There are companies here in Thailand that install systems but they are anywhere from 15,000 to 50,000 baht

Im having the same problem in Chiang Mai they came out replaced some wiring its a little better but still drops out sometimes ....

Ban Wantang we looked there and found a house .. Then the first jet came across the roof then the next .... We looked else where found it much better in Rungarroon where houses rent for 5000 to 30,000 and plenty available . Close to the market and good security .... Lived there two years .... Then bought and built very close by ......

I went with Thai Health I pay 14,000 a year at 57 coverage is 400,000

I bought some of this the other day at Macro was affraid it was going to be trash based on the price . But its pretty good coffee for the price .....

I d also worrie about areas that might flood during rainy season .. I agree with the other poster as well noise from the airport is something to also consider ... But as far as being safe its about the same where ever you go here ...

I am considering buying a mower, have looked at the electric ones vrs the gas . I hate fooling with petrol and storing it .... Have a rather large area about 100 sqw to mow but I dont mind spending the time cutting the grass . Any sugestions what brand and where to buy one. Or are they junk and a waste of money . I pay 800 baht everytime they cut my grass , I figuire after a few times the mower would pay for itself and I might get some needed excersise to boot ????

I found him in front od SCB bank near the moat yesterday got 4 pieces of fish took ate 2 took two home for the wife . The fish was good as it was when I had it a few days before !!!

Many houses to rent in Rungarroon 3 under 12,000 a month ... Good place to live close to the market, hospital and very safe .... Just have a red truck drive you around until you see a for rent sign .......

Have had the American spare ribs before (But in another country, but not yankee land) and yes they were good. I think the biggest problem here is that most places chop the ribs into tiny little bite sized portions. What the hell is with that? Im gonna head down to the local market (Mae Rim) tomorrow morning (Early) and get in before they massacre the ribs in order to get a decent size lot to barbque.

As an aside I went to Gecko Garden Restaurant and Pub today, for the 1st time. Id been passed the place lots of times but never actually realised it was there! Yeah maybe Im just a blind old bastard....anyway I tried their fish and chips. For 109 baht I was impressed. Sure its not NZ quality blue cod or snapper or shark (We are spoilt for choice in Godzone ) But the overall delivery of the meal was great. I shall return and try other items on their menu.

However tomorrow is reserved for SK..... great tucker and nice environment (Gets even better after a few cold ones, cant figure out why)

I have been told if you go to Macro and ask for the ribs un cut they will do it for you . Only other place have been able to get them non molested was Mae Hia market ... The cut ribs are not worth the time to BBQ .............

I ve had problems sometime when I click on something it will try to open multiple times. I end up shutting my machine down to get it to stop . Only happens on Thai visa very nerve racking ...

If you take the road that runs behing Hangdong market going south you follow that road , it makes a sharp right you will pass a few rice fields on the right and make a couple of sharp turns pass over a bridge contiune about 1 or 2 k and its on your left ...

There is a place on the left side of HWY 108 between Hang Dong Marlet and Sanpatong he some really great works of art . I usually take people there when they come visit .... Its all large wood carvings ...

Im signed up for Easy study Thai @ Pantip plaza. It's 21,000B for the year. I can't recommend them as i haven't started the course yet. I previously studied at Walen in Phuket, i would certainly never recommend Walen school. The teachers in Phuket seemed more interested in which teacher i thought was the best looking or whether i wanted to take them out for dinner or not... Very unprofessional and lacked in teaching skills.

Nobody here have a Thai wife or girlfriend studying English in Chiang mai?

My wife teaches english here in Hang Dong PM me if your wife is interested ..... She also teaches Thai ..... The school at Pantip is good but I prefered YMCA ......
