Receiving mail / post from UK / Europe to BKK Thailand
KhunBENQ replied to Gee Bangkok's topic in General Topics
Yes. Of course it is useful to invest some effort in a "correct" address. Surprisingly Wiki has an article on that and there is a couple of threads in the forum about address format. (I assume you refer to a Bangkok address?) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_addressing_system -
Spread fear and scare for what?? An open air running event in May! They seem to have zero trust in their Covid handling.

Missed 90 day report, what to expect?

Heavy discount ???? Receipt? -
Hope I guess it right? December 2021 you got your new car and did a complimentary insurance ("expensive") valid until December 2022. From December to March 2022 you were driving on a red plate/no blue book(? I assume). From March 2022 you got regular plates and the blue book together with sticker until March 2023. The sticker confirms tax payment AND compulsory ("cheap"/"worthless") insurance. This is a completely normal situation. For me it's similar but only have a gap of 6 weeks. I go to extend the complimentary insurance when it's due and then directly go to pay for tax/compulsory (6 weeks ahead of due date). Still gives me another one year sticker from the due date. Can't tell you whether the insurance agent can align the dates for the complimentary insurance. Maybe not.

Sure they would. Might or might not work depending on which office you go. A while ago the PM stated that it might take 20 years to totally eradicate corruption -
VISA requirement
KhunBENQ replied to Kenneth White's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You should clarify: will you be able to get an income affirmation from your embassy (for pension or other regular income)? Or are you asking about monthly transfer to your Thai bank account? This option is available for nationals who can not get an income affirmation. So it depends on your nationality. -
+1 Used a couple of times.

Cabinet Approves Purchase of Paxlovid Antiviral Pills
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
Up here Covid patients are treated with Paracetamol and some cough medicine at best. And if rural doctors complain about the lack of proper drugs then it's called a lie. -
Another Boeing 737....dived down , now in China
KhunBENQ replied to david555's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Just read through this: https://avherald.com/h?article=4f64be2f&opt=0 It remains a mystery until the flight data recorders are found and give a clue. There was no emergency call or reports of difficulties! Air traffic control noticed the steep descend and tried to contact the crew several times without response. Very unusual! Even a complete loss of all engines and electric power would not result in a drop like a stone. -
Just to be sure: you have entered on an ordinary Non-O visa not the infamous Non-OA which makes extra trouble? (insurance required).

The OP says he has 800k+ in the account. Just bank letter required confirming account and balance. (money in account at least 3 months before application) If your forum name allows to assume you are French: just forget it. Some nationals will not get a confirmation of their income from their embassy. So now they have to transfer monthly amount of at least 65k Baht. But as I wrote: irrelevant for the topic starter.

PCR test required on domestic flights?
KhunBENQ replied to gejohesch's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
I wonder whether they can see that you had arrived internationally on Thai pass? -
Just installed and tried a few videos that start with ads on Firefox. All came directly with Brave. An alternative to downloading the videos which I often do. (has the added advantage that you can use a feature rich player like VLC)

Where at Suvarnabhumi to get reentry permit?
KhunBENQ replied to Why Me's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I refer to times when you could not even enter zone 2. Did I write about today? No idea why it is even worth a quote. -
Also it is obviously an open source project. So even less likely to be infested. https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher A manual uninstall is also described.
