  1. It's unlikely that it is malware or virus infected. Just too many know sites have it on their tools list (and have it viruschecked). Windows is a job creation machine. Fiddle/abandon known/much used behavior and let developers create roll back tools Thanks for another reminder: W10 till end of support lifetime.
  2. I am surprised not to find an English language article. Elsewhere exactly this excuse was read. 67 yr old driver wanted to overtake a big truck. Oops road slippery. 2:10 AM.
  3. Not now I remember times before Covid when zone 2 was closed due to overcrowding (hall packed) and people directed to zone 3 further down. On the last observations international departure was deserted. Maybe a tiny bit more life now. (I use to spend some time walking the departure hall before going for a domestic flight)
  4. Looks like the Ft has already risen from September/December 21 to January/April 22? Would be an explanation for rise per unit. Expect more from May.
  5. No. That starts in May. Badly written report ("had risen", "start in May"). When will they engage writers that know their language? (it's not my first language) The OP is not much worth without telling the absolute numbers of consumption. Rising consumption over certain steps increases price per unit. Fact since "ages". As far as I know the times of Covid related discounts are over since a while? Could be wrong.
  6. Copied from another thread: M.T. Inter Medical Laboratory, 3rd rd. Not far from South Pattaya rd intersection. Drive towards Jomtien, left side. https://goo.gl/maps/eoZN1tL9EJFrtqnx7 690 Baht: (thread is about PCR but location is the same)
  7. Wise word of the day No life without LINE. And seriously, all of our family use it. Many businesses in Thailand use it. Even offices etc. There are payment options ... I will never understand the whole range. LINE is a must in Thailand.
  8. You are one of the few who is on the topic Yes, currently even restaurants (-bars) etc would not be allowed to serve alcohol between 2 and 5 PM. Was always a complaint in Pattaya. In our province the non elected governor uses his power even more arbitrarily. Still no serving of alcohol in restaurants or the like allowed. Maybe it will earn him a promotion. An episode that will always be in my memory. One time I was at a Makro checkout in the afternoon. The wine vinegar raised attention and was only OKed after discussion among the cashiers. Another facet: a mate loved his chocolate with rum raisins from Ritter. That was good for some years. Suddenly vanished and never appeared again. Generally: in some countries you can buy chocolates with some alcohol (filling). Try to find this in Thailand.
  9. NO! And flying TO Bangkok requires nothing (not even vacc. cert) per the rules. Way back: I flew Bangkok to Khon Kaen in January and also nothing checked (although vaxx cert might have been asked for). BTW PCR was never req. for domestic. Unvaxxed would require ATK test by the rules. Hopefully in today's meeting they will also drop all rules (except mask and no meal) for domestic?

But that's all in Thai script. Doubt you can use it overseas? Indeed it's worth trying at your Thai bank if you have. They should be able to produce a letter stating that you are their customer with address. All in English. Otherwise pay big at immigration? Are you registered at your embassy?
  11. The 10yr chart shows clearly the Crimea cliff and the Ukraine cliff. From about 1:1 to 1:0.32. How would you like this with your currency?
  12. Most confusing numbers seen for a while in the opening post. No idea what it is about. Currency market rate now: 1.00 Russian Ruble = 0.31893134 Thai Baht At most cash exchange booths it had been at 0.000 for more than two weeks. TT Exchange now accepts them again at 0.3000. You call this sanctions without effect??
  13. Yes! And no, it was not Thaksin and not even his military successors. It was just another military regime.
  14. It's a bit annoying that this UK bank provides no information on compatible devices (manufacturer, model). I tried to find reliable info on that to no avail. In Germany you have to buy the reader on your own cost from a list of compatible devices. But I see tons of card readers offered on the web. Like here: https://picclick.co.uk/Latest-BARCLAYS-Pinsentry-Security-Banking-Pin-Sentry-Bank-134020831747.html ("Latest BARCLAYS Pinsentry Security Banking Pin Sentry Bank Card Reader BRAND NEW. This pinsentry will work with all UK bank cards, including Lloyds online businees cards.") Shipment to Thailand might be the problem. A proxy in the UK would be helpful.
  15. Just confirming. It's just a piece of hardware from the assembly line. I don't have Barclays but a German bank. Last year I noticed that the display of the "TAN Generator" as it is called became "cloudy". Had to get me a new one (the old one can be read with a strong torch light only). Similar experience for me. BUT I assume the app needs to be registered for your mobile? After buying a new phone this is a pain in the ... for me as my bank sends a code via SMS which never arrived. (I should not have cleaned/uninstalled the old mobile!) So currently dependent on TAN generator and the magic card with the chip. I guard it like the apple of my eye
  16. Opt for Moderna! Most effective following a couple of sources. (my 3rd shot from private hospital in Khon Kaen) https://www.pattayamemorial.com/ 1650 Baht (of course not free at a private hospital). today, hurry up 25 and 28 March.
  17. Quite stupid headline. As everyone knows there is no fixed price/kWh but a scaled price depending on consumption. Why not simply write: electricity price rises by 0.2338 Baht/unit (before tax). And this part of the price is independent of consumption (linear). If you use 100 units it's 23.38 Baht. If you use 1000 units it's 233.8 Baht. ... Our typical use is about 400 units. So a rise of 94 Baht before tax.
  18. That's an interesting point. I could not clarify whether it is done by default here. There is strong suspicion that some dangerous side effects are from accidental injection to blood vessels. It's unlikely but better safe than sorry.
  19. And crazy speed allowed (or not controlled) through populated areas with mixed traffic from sidecar kitchen to Ferrari son.
  20. Stronger, that is in line with what I read. A mate in Germany had three Pfizer shots and was recently positive with significant symptoms for at least three days. Knock out by Moderna? Is that much different?
  21. Sinovac, AZ, Moderna. Nothing knocked me out. May even had Omicron (cough and no fever) and had exceptional antibody values.
  22. If it fit's with the timing for the flight. I had been there in Jan and saw a couple handing their German passports. Obviously for flying.
  23. Pattaya International Hospital, Beach rd Soi 4. 3800(!) Baht.
  24. Pattaya Memorial Hospital (near 2nd rd/Central rd intersection). 3500 Baht. M.T. Inter Medical Laboratory, 3rd rd. Not far from South Pattaya rd intersection. Drive towards Jomtien, left side. https://goo.gl/maps/eoZN1tL9EJFrtqnx7 Also 3500 Baht, PCR Mafia and more....
  25. Sounds like you have to give some details. Seems an issue with your device/computer and/or mail system. Maybe some "safety" SW stopping you from opening mail attachments?
