  1. To come back to the exchange rate. TT Exchange still showing 0.000 on their website. xe.com so far shows no further down for RUB/THB, 0.39. Maybe trade in RUB has come to a near halt?
  2. Once they have the addresses hacked no one can stop them from trying. Should one create a new separate mail account just for Thai government related stuff?
  3. True. Most fly southern route since long (Turkey, Iran). The hard hit is east Asia (Japan, Korea) to/from Europe. But I read that Finland will join the airspace closure. That's a hard time for Finair to fly to Bangkok/Phuket. They were quite popular. My route planning :
  4. Is it such a special model/deal of a scooter? Otherwise I would surely look for at a local 2nd hand dealer(shop) where you can check before pay and get assistance with registering.
  5. Found this in the forum, but please wait for another poster to confirm: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/[email protected]/bookings/
  6. Not quite sure whether I got your post right but waiting until after March 1 (in two days) is recommended. Expect some congestion on March 1. As I understand you could now book day 5 and then apply for reimbursement later? But why the hassle?
  7. You have ornaments/rings/chains etc.? I agree with the above.
  8. Others received it weeks ago. Misc threads about it and information on social media. There was a hack, yes.
  9. Unfortunately some miss that. Not a problem for me (vaxxed) but got some discussion for an antivaxxer who I know
  10. And even for shopping/delicatessen/restaurants better than KK. But don't compare it to Pattaya or Bangkok. Entertainment is still meager due to the aftermath of the Covid shock. The closed border at Nong Khai is another factor. Less travelers stopping over etc.
  11. Must admit that I am not up-to-date about rules for bus trips. But for sure: two vaccinations/certificate is good for any domestic travel. (if there are actually any checks still done? I don't know) Of course mask on. For Pattaya: money and keeping a sane mind Very few hotels aside from the SHA* types ask for proof of vaccination (I experienced that in November). But also very unlikely. In Pattaya very loosely enforced rules. Most entertainment locations having temp check at max. So in short: nothing else needed.
  12. Must admit never heard of, but there indeed seems to be some special "pump oil" to lubricate the pump? Nothing to do with engine oil, sure the motor is electric. Also many (maybe smaller models?) have sealed pumps where you never notice about oil change. Question: is there no label near the filling cap? If in Thai can you provide a picture?
  13. That was my first idea when reading the thread title. I have to look away when I see some of neighbors handling the dogs. On the opposite side the poor female dog is on the chain all day. My wife says the dog can roam on the plot in the night. I am the only one ever seen walking his dog in the wider neighborhood.
  14. Seems you are not very accustomed to sauna etiquette?
  15. Sounds too cheap. Have you asked for registering the letter?
  16. A bit offtopic: I yesterday ordered some supplements from a company in New Jersey (US) to here. A package less then a kilo. Weighs 4.1313 LB. Sent by "Airmail" (sounds like regular postal service) incl. tracking. It's announced for March 13 to 15. Cost about 15 USD. Fairly slow, fairly expensive?
  17. To/from Germany I use ordinary registered airmail. That's for documents that are not overly time critical. Nothing by ship. I doubt that letters and similar are going by ship whatever form of transport you paid for.
  18. Also on Thairath and others. Found floating. Off to autopsy at Thammasat Hospital.
  19. Politely decline and ask to pay directly to the police station boss Do a print of the DLT site and show them.
  20. This is the official statement from the DLT (Department of Land Transport). 1968 IDP acknowledged since 1 May 2021. https://www.dlt.go.th/th/public-news/view.php?_did=2864 Google tr:
  21. The IDP 1968 version is valid since long (can't tell from memory when that changed). If they decline it's either stupidity or a rip-off attempt. Insist on going to police station and do a formal complaint. I can try to find reference in Thai language. Maybe...
  22. With such a number they would be a model student in the Euro area
  23. Just tell where you stay and when and from which airport you will go. Might result in more precise hints. Too many locations that offer RT-PCR with certificate.
  24. Just saying: even with 15 yr old she would not get a driving license valid for a Scoopy or Fino. (or do they still offer 110ccm). Where will she "learn"? Hopefully not on busy roads? One granddaughter has some "high end" Scoopy with tubeless tires (is it "Scoopy i Club 12"?). Quite nice. I still like the small motorbikes with that type of automatic clutch like a basic Honda Wave. Cheap price, cheap parts, serviced at every corner. But don't offer that to the niece. She will burst in tears if "farang uncle" comes with such a low prestige idea
