The death toll from the fire at the Na Ladprao entertainment venue in Bangkok's Chatuchak district has risen to 35 after a further victim died from her injuries early on Wednesday, 22 July.
Bangkok's Erawan Emergency Medical Centre said 23-year-old Thitichaya Krutwichit died at Siriraj Hospital at 2.20am. She was being treated in Accident Ward 4, the hospital's burn unit.
Her death was the eighth recorded in hospital following the blaze at the Lat Phrao venue.
Latest casualty figures
In its 9.30am update on 22 July, the Erawan centre said 77 people had been injured in the fire.
Of those, 48 had been discharged and allowed to return home. A further 21 remained in hospital, including 12 patients in intensive care units and nine admitted to general wards.
The latest death brings the overall number of fatalities from the fire to 35, according to emergency authorities.
The figures underline that a significant number of survivors are still receiving treatment, with more than half of those remaining in hospital requiring intensive care.
Emergency authorities issued the casualty summary for 22 July as hospital treatment continued for those injured in the fire.
