‘This Is Israeli Territory’: Phuket Widens Business Probe

Thai authorities have expanded an enforcement campaign targeting suspected nominee-owned businesses in Phuket, with more than 361 companies now facing inspection following a confrontation at Chabad House in Patong.

The move was announced after officials inspecting the premises were reportedly challenged by an unidentified person who asked: “Don’t you know that this is Israeli territory?” Deputy Interior Minister Polpee Suwanchawee responded: “This is Thailand. Everyone on Thai soil must comply with Thai law. No one has the right to claim sovereignty over Thai territory.”

Polpee said the operation was not aimed at any particular nationality, religion or source of foreign investment, stressing that everyone living and doing business in Thailand is subject to the same laws.

Inspections expanded across Phuket

The confrontation took place while officials from the Interior Ministry, local administrative authorities, immigration police and tourist police were inspecting the Patong premises in Kathu district.

Investigators were examining suspected use of Thai nominee shareholders to conceal foreign ownership, along with businesses allegedly operating without the required licences.

Following the inspection, the Interior Ministry broadened its campaign to include more than 361 businesses considered potentially high-risk. Those being checked include hotels, luxury villas, restaurants and tour companies, as well as firms suspected of using nominee structures to disguise foreign ownership.

The ministry said anyone found breaking the law would face prosecution, adding that the campaign is intended to protect fair business opportunities for Thai operators and safeguard the country’s economic sovereignty.

Religious activities not the focus

According to the report, Chabad House in Patong has previously been inspected after local businesses and social media users raised concerns that it had become a gathering place linked to business networks serving particular groups of Israeli nationals.

Authorities said the centre operates under the Chabad of Thailand Foundation, which has centres nationwide, including in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Phangan in Surat Thani, Mae Hong Son and Phuket. The centres provide facilities for Jewish religious ceremonies and festivals, together with food and accommodation for Israeli visitors.

The Interior Ministry said the inspections are not directed at religious activities. Instead, officials say they are ensuring businesses, buildings and other operations comply with Thai law.

Authorities noted that although Thailand’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion, all activities must remain within the law, avoid disrupting public order and must not be used to conceal illegal commercial operations or nominee ownership arrangements.

As stated before, numerous times, this is just the beginning of Israeli insurrection in Thailand; it is going to get much worse. Be lenient with them and just wait and see what happens.

What's going to happen ?

Maybe it is time for Thailand to follow Malaysia's example and ban all Israelis - or are tourists numbers more important?

For Israelis to wake up, it will take a lot more than just Thailand banning them. Their paranoid bubble needs to be popped.

It is antisemitic to not allow Israelis to have Thai nominees. In fact, not allowing Israelis to by Thai land is antisemitic as well.

So this is your bent way of proclaiming your antisemitism.

In order to operate in Thailand as they do, the have had to incorporate (as someone mentioned in an earlier post). Perhaps someone on here can look up their legal documents, which probably mention Thai citizen nominees.

Besides that, Trump son-in-law Kushner and various mega donors have influence without being White House officials.

Pretty much the entire world does not recognize the West Bank and Gaza as part of Israel, despite what Zionist nationalists say.

Neither does Israel (with the exception of East Jerusalem).

Why unidentified if police was there. Why did police not take him in custody and identified him putting him in the news?

As much I like bad news about Israelis, sorry but this smells like bullsh** to make the news story more interesting.

Regarding this Chabad, and the others in Thailand, did the authorities ever determine if the land was purchased through nominees or are they all rented properties from Thai land owners? Makes we wonder about churches - quite a few small Catholic churches, a few in Bangkok, but several in Samut Sakon fishing towns. The congregations are predominently Chinese Thais, so the land is probably Thai owned. The mosques will be Thai-Muslim owners. The Protestant (Anglican) church next to BNH Hospital?

Don’t you know that this is Israeli territory?

Funny thing is if you ask them to show you the deed, they whip out mud tablets with Hebrew chicken scratching on them that they wrote themselves. 🥁

700 ARRESTS POSSIBLE AT AGRIPROCESSORS; LARGEST IMMIGRATION RAID IN HISTORY; DRUGS AND WEAPONS VIOLATIONS ALSO ALLEGED (May 12, 2008) - Agriprocessors is owned and operated by members of the Chabad organization.

illegal drugs production in agriprocessors

Hundreds arrested in Iowa immigration raid (May 12, 2008). Postville, Iowa - A raid by federal immigration officials at the nation's largest kosher meatpacking plant may have resulted in as many as 700 arrests, immigration officials said Monday. Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement entered the Agriprocessors Inc. complex in northeast Iowa Monday morning to execute a criminal search warrant for evidence relating to aggravated identity theft, fraudulent use of Social Security numbers and other crimes.

About 200 [Chabad] Hasidic Jews arrived in Postville in 1987, when butcher Aaron Rubashkin of Brooklyn's Crown Heights neighborhood reopened a defunct meat-packing plant with his two sons, Sholom and Heshy, just outside the city limits. Business boomed at the plant, reviving the depressed economy while pitting the newcomers against the predominantly Lutheran community.
