Mourners pay their respects to HM late King Bhumibol Adulyadej

 

BANGKOK, 4 September 2017 (NNT) - People from all regions across the country have continued to pay their respects to the body of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Grand Palace. 

The number of mourners at the Grand Palace is increasing as the Royal Cremation Ceremony nears. After paying their respects to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall, the mourners often buy diaries containing drawings by HM King Maha Bodindradebayavarangkun. Proceeds of the diaries will go to Siriraj Hospital and assistance for flood-affected people. 

An exhibition about the work of HM the late King Bhunibol Adulyadej at Siriraj Hospital is attracting crowds especially on weekends. Scheduled for 15th August - 15th September 2017, the exhibition is a collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board.

Thai whiz kids’ inventions win gold in South Korea olympiad

Retrieval of Thai students’ bodies in California ‘first of its kind’

FRESNO, CA: -- The US recovery operation that last Friday successfully retrieved the remains of the two Thai postgraduate students whose rented car plunged into Kings River in Fresno, California, on July 26 was the first of its kind and required almost 60 personnel and specialised equipment, including a purpose-built pulley.

SEOUL/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea on Sunday conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test, which it said was of an advanced hydrogen bomb for a long-range missile, prompting the threat of a "massive" military response from the United States if it or its allies were threatened.
