By The Nation

PATTANI: -- A catfish trader was fatally shot in front of his two sons in Pattani’s Yaring district on Monday.

Police said the shooting took place at about 10am on Pattani-Narathiwat Road in Jabang Tohkru village, tambon Tanyong Dala.

Police said Boonlert Triphetpong, 52, died on the way to the district hospital.

Boonlert parked his pickup in front of a convenience store for his sons to buy drinks when a car pulled stopped and a gunman opened fire. Four bullets hit Boonlert’s body.

Boonlert bought catfish from farmers in Yaring and was heading to sell them in Narathiwat when he was murdered.
