1.Is there a difference between the train and the BTS sky train?

2.I'm at a hotel near the intersection of Lat Krabang Rd. and Suvamabhumi 4 Rd.

3.What rail transportation and where is the nearest station according to the above area?

4.Can I go directly to either Makkasan and Asok without having to get off to transfer from my origin?

5. I'm eventually going to unwind at Soi 23.

1) Yes. In BKK there is the BTS , the MRT subway, and the airport rail link...all separate lines

 

2). Take the airport rail link to Phaya Thai station and change there to the BTS to get to ASOK station

However if you can avoid rush hour and keep in mind that if you have heavy luggage, it can be a bit of a nuisance getting down and up the stairways of the stations that do not always have escalators.....unless I missed them during my last trip?
