tutsiwarrior Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 fugeddaboutit...regarding the name what you got were people's impressions...how you chose to take it is another matter... religion in Thailand is very loosely interpreted...folks here smoke, drink liquor and eat meat...not very buddhist in the strict sense. Don't let ethnocentrism cloud yer perspective...

sriracha john Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Might I ask why you chose to delete your post, TRKeller? It was an intriguing and interesting one.

Now the rest of us are a little lost oh well, Mai pen rai One of the few benefits of new-post email notifications is reading a fascinating post that's then deleted on the forum. It's often a curse it seems and can be a pain to muddle through them, but, once in awhile, it's worth it to receive them. This is one of those times.

Are you saying SJ you get email notifications for every topic or forum ?? I get some and also if one subscribes to a topic ok, but surely you can't handle emails for several forums ? You'd have to spend every waking hour on the computer

You'd have to spend every waking hour on the computer No.. sorry, I should have further specified it as "new-topic-post" email notifications instead of just "new-post", which I receive for selected sub-forums. Indeed, every new post would be over-whelming and impossible.
Jet Gorgon Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Let's make up the lost questions... "Can I smoke, drink and eat steak at temple funerals? And gee I feel weird because my name is Barber and everyone calls me farang bahber bahber, or something like that, and they all shriek with laughter."
tuky Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 You'd have to spend every waking hour on the computer Actually, if you look at SJ's post times you will see that he actually does spend every waking moment in front of his pc.

More than a few people around here have that same traceable trait... but it doesn't necessarily reflect the conclusion drawn .. *edit* perhaps it's best to close this as the OP obviously doesn't wish to pursue the thread and no need to cause offense to her but turning it farcical.
