No memorial service for 90 victims of OG269 crash in Phuket

PHUKET: There will be no official memorial service in Phuket to remember the 90 people who died in the crash of One-Two-Go flight on this day 10 years ago.

Weakened storm Doksuri unleashes deluge, causing floods

Villages are engulfed by a deluge of water as deep as 30 to 50 centimetres after a flash flood struck Phrae province yesterday, following a torrential downpour on Friday night. Officials were sent into the affected areas to provide aid.

 

TROPICAL storm Doksuri has weakened into a depression and unleashed heavy downpours in several North-eastern and Northern provinces on Friday night, resulting in floods in many provinces yesterday morning.

Defence Ministry rejects rumours that Prawit held meeting with Thaksin in London

Government of national unity would not be practical: poll

MOST people (about 71 per cent) think a “national government” might bring peace to the country, but they disagree with it and don’t believe it would be possible for Pheu Thai, the Democrat Party and Phum Jai Thai to unite and form such a government, according to a Suan Dusit Poll released yesterday.

Govt shrugs off “national unity government” proposal
