PHUKET: -- It has been confirmed today that German national Nico Papke, who on July 18 confessed to the murder of his Thai girlfriend, 35-year-old Pischa “Lek” Nampadung, will make his first court appearance at the beginning of October.

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that forensic results from stains found on a mattress inside in Ms Pisha’s rented room in Chalong and bloodstains found in a car rented by Papke matches that of the victim.

Speaking to The Phuket News today (Sept 19), Chalong Police Deputy Superintendent Lt Col Somsak Sopakarn said, “According to the forensic results, the blood stains inside the rented car matched Ms Pischa’s DNA. Papke’s and Ms Pischa’s DNA were both found in the car and in his rental home.

Well the guy pretty much did admit and confess.  So what is going to happen?  Do the Thais really want the burden of housing him?  Granted they don't seem to spend much money on people in their prisons.  Will they lock him up for a few  years, then deport him to German, assuming Germany requests him and gives some sort of assurance that he will serve time there?

It's lucky the girls relatives found the huge blood stain on the underside

of the mattress, that CSI, missed !,as before that find, he was saying he

was innocent.

That is basically what happened in the past.

I don't know whether true or a myth: one year in Thai prison is counted as three years in Germany.

Am I missing something?? Or different bloodstains from another news item about this crime?
