January 8, 200719 yr Hi, I'm planning to buy a condo in BKK and need some informaton on the following: 1) Any conditions that a foreigner must meet before he/she could buy a condo? For eg, need to have a minimum sum of bank balance etc 2) Annual property tax rate for foreigners 3) Legal fees 4) What are the things that a foreigner need to produce before he/she can open a bank account in Thailand? Thanks
January 8, 200719 yr I built a house in Phuket and opened three seperate bank a/c's without any visa or proof of money. It is pay in instalments with the first up front with a clause that if you miss a payment you lose it. For the bank I found SCB to be really on the ball. As to tax on Condo's, don't know. Hope that helps a bit.
January 9, 200719 yr This is what you need. A) The Money Copy of your passport C) Letter from a Thai bank saying the money came from outside of Thailand for the purchase of a condo. Thats It!
