She has been accused of attempted murder and taken to Chalong the police station.

As she succeeded, should the charges not be altered ?

And, takes some doing....to kill the man without having assaulted him,.....according to police?

Condolences to family friends and loved ones.

“The suspect told us that she and Mr Speckbacher were arguing when she lost her patience. She said she became furious and committed the crime without thinking,” Lt Chanat said.

Ah you hit the nail on the head she lost her patience this is probably going to be resolved as a simple case of assault after all he probably did insult her or something TIT <deleted> RIP old dude hope you enjoyed yourself before the exit

Not so hasty Sherlock. She could have been fitted up to say that, or a whole bunch of other reasons. Good job you never worked at Scotland Yard methinks.

Throttling an old feller requires some stamina and murderous determination, slightly more than a loss of temper that would stab or pull a trigger. I'd posit she was fed up with taking care of him and that this was brewing for some time.

Otherwise they have find skape goats, and further investigations, and finally take lot of time to close the case.

Now it will be closed faster, and accused can be acquitted with no evidence found on body, since they could not found any injury or weapon.

Amen!

No signs of a struggle, rope around his neck and romantic soothing flowers and aromas. Sex game gone wrong and maybe she can't admit to it? Bit like the film the Reader maybe?

Maybe the 78yo was relatively feeble and unable to put up much of a fight.   I know it seems like an odd way to kill someone, but if sickly or maybe even disabled, on medication, drugged, whatever, then maybe...

RIP

yes but you see, he did not fight back properly, so it is only attempted murder. He is responsible and at a certain point it actually becomes suicide for not fighting back.

Actually, if he wasn't in Thailand this wouldn't have happened!

They own another house in Pattaya and with their  Thai/German son got back to Phuket about 3 or 4 days ago, their son flew back to Germany where he works and then this happened. The old fella had alzheimer's and his wife is well known to have psychological problems and prone to violent outbreaks for no reason at all. A sad state of affairs all round.

RIP old fella.
