The Royal Thai Police will distribute warrant to police stations across the country for the arrest of former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra after the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions found her guilty of dereliction of duty concerning the controversial rice-pledging scheme and sentenced her to five years imprisonment without suspension of the jail term.

Pol Gen Srivara Rangsiprammanakul, the national deputy police chief, said Wednesday that the Thung Song Hong police which are in charge of the case would issue an arrest warrant today in response to the court’s order for Ms Yingluck’s arrest to serve the jail term and then copies of the arrest warrant would be distributed by Royal Thai Police to police throughout the country, including all immigration checkpoints.

He said it was the responsibility of the Office of the Attorney-General to inform the Interpol about the court’s verdict and Ms Yingluck’s arrest warrant.

Yingluck is guilty because she did wrong, that is according to a bunch of thieves.

The crowd now calling themselves the government are no better than the Shins.

They were never elected by the people, they used force of arms, just like a bunch of crooks.

that's irrelevant ... she's a criminal on the run ... lol :shock1:

Let me give you a hypothetical.

A group of thugs comes into your hometown and take over. They oust the mayor, police chief, town council, set up reeducation camps and tell you they are the new law in town.  They say that you committed crimes in the past and that you will be tried in their court by their judges. Of course you know this is just a play for the public to show who is in charge. You have no chance of being found innocent. What would you do?

Not the only two members of that family with criminal convictions.

In the DNA?

Or there again, you are puppet for your brother as he is a criminal on the run. His well oiled political machine secures an election victory and his wholly owned party takes over the town council with their paid politicians. Relatives are placed in the police and key public sector positions, and the council appoints you leader. But you're brother, the fugitive calls all the shots, appoints and fires ministers and instructs your every move. You are supposed to run the key policy program but never bother turning up and the minions run riot with their corruption. You ignore all warnings as brother instructs and spend as much time travelling as possible. The citizens become fed up. A court then removes you because you illegally moved people out of jobs to put a relative in. So you call a new election. It's a shambles with violence and murders between rival supporters. Your police won't and/or can't do anything about it. So the federal government steps in. The frauds, negligence and mismanagement inherent in your key policy program become evident. You stay and fight the case, but never actually defend the charges. Seeing the writing on the wall, you do a runner and become a criminal fugitive, just like your brother.

She knew she was guilty. She could see the usual BS wasn't working anymore. She could see the mood wasn't for leniency. So she legged it.

"irrelevant"  now isn't that a sad reflection on education?   it's "irrelevant" that Mandela was convicted by a racist court he was a 'criminal'  :giggle:

The court may have been racist, but Mandela was a terrorist at the time, something he never denied.

Unlike Yingluck, deny, deny, deny and deny.

He is a criminal fugitive. But no one seems interested in pursuing the various arrest warrants outstanding, for their own reasons.

As a multi billionaire, with private plane, with no outstanding extradition requests, he's not only free to travel but can do so as a billionaire VIP. Money is the gateway these days.

However, he isn't exactly feted and welcomed either, is he?
