rooster59
Leave Hua Hin beach alone! Protesters don't want expensive sand plan Image: Daily News Plans to dump thousands of tons of sand on Hua Hin beaches have been slammed by environmentalists. They said that the expensive scheme potentially costing hundreds of millions of baht is not the answer to erosion. They want the beaches to recover by natural means, reported Daily News. Protesters with placards were in evidence yesterday outside the Navee Pirom Hotel where Montree Choopoo from the municipal uthority chaired a fact finding meeting of more than 200 people from interested parties. Inside the meeting the feeling was the same - there were more dissenting voices than people in agreement. Suggestions have been made to solve the problem of erosion using a 3 billion baht government fund.
