WHILE GOVERNMENT officials have said they will focus on economic matters during a top-level Thailand-US meeting at the White House today, it is security concerns, particularly relating to Thailand’s logistics role regarding the US on rising tensions in East Asia, that should be watched closely, academics believe.

Low-income welfare programme begins amid hiccups

PHUKET: -- 3 foreigners have been arrested on Bangla Road, Patong, including 33 year old Khurram Rasheed from Pakistan, 23 year old Riasat Ali from Pakistan, and 21 year old Ratnakar Reddy Singireddy from India.

Construction suspended after Chao Phraya bridge collapse

CHAI NAT: -- Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith on Sunday ordered a one-month suspension of the construction of a bridge across the Chao Phraya River in Chai Nat’s Muang district, following an incident on Saturday when concrete section collapsed and seriously wounded four workers.

US media tend to pay less attention to Trump-Prayut meeting
