Hi,

I have recently been spending several months away from my Bangkok home, on retirement extension in another province at the parents in law home, completed 90-day reports and the initial arrival accommodation move TM30 documents at that province.

Now I plan to soon return to Bangkok to the home I own jointly with my wife and wonder if I can simply do next 90 day by post to Bangkok immigration or do I need to go in person to explain I have moved back to my home to Bangkok and/or do the TM30 form for Bangkok in home I own? I read on this forum before I would not need to complete another TM30 on return to Bangkok, as this is the home I own and travels upcountry can be considered temporary holidays? However whilst away I also had to do a 1-year retirement extension in the other province - does that have any impact,  for that extension they needed a copy of my TM30 ticket?

You will need to formally change your address back to Bangkok by submitting a TM28 change of address form. Bangkok immigration does not ask for a TM30 form.

You could do it at the same time you do your next 90 day report.

Thanks. Am I correct in assuming this cannot be done by post?

The change of address cannot be done by post. But the 90 day report can be done online or by post.

Thanks Ubonjoe you have been very helpful.

*Just to confirm it can be done at same time in person at Imm Off as 90 day report, and NOT within 48 hours of arrival in Bangkok as it says on TM28?

Yews. They don't enforce the 48 hour requirement since they would have no record of when you changed addresses.
