How to pack 1m tall speakers?

Featured Replies

I'm selling my speakers and I don't have the box anymore. The buyer wants them shipped using Kerry service to Chumpon. But Kerry tell me they need the speakers boxed before they will ship them.

So... where can I find a box big enough to accommodate 1 metre tall speakers? Or any better solutions?

cheers,

You can try look for the boxes at home pro or home centers. What is the exact dimensions of your speakers because I have boxes about 800mm length.

Home Pro/Makro have boxes....There's also stores that sell boxes/moving supplies....

Some of the stuff we've received were actually boxes that had been broken down & used like wrapping paper with lots of taping.....As opposed to a dedicated box size.....

Think I will try homepro first as I believe they sell bubble wrap as well.

Bubble wrap, then break down large, thick cardboard boxes to "wrap" the items.

Repeat this so there are two layers of bubble wrap and thick cardboard.

Check a HiFi shop like Piyanas Audio (BKK) that deals in such items. They may have proper boxes for speakers that they throw away. I kept all the boxes and foam packing for my Boston Acoustics Reflection series speakers for several years in a closet, anticipating overseas shipment. They are now in place, in one of my Condos. Sorry I disposed of the boxes.

The towers are over 1m and weight about 15kg each. They would be hard to pack properly otherwise.

Check the post office. They sell many different sized boxes.
