rooster59 Posted October 21, 2017 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Investigation underway after police admit they let a drug suspect escape with two women Image: Tnews Police in Bang Lamung, Pattaya, have admitted that one of their men let a drugs suspect escape from custody. TNews reported that Wirot "Kai" Japprayong, 24, was being led from the cells to a police vechicle ahead of a court appearance. He had previously been charged with a Class 1 dug offence, namely possession of "ice" methamphetamine. But photographs posted online showed him strolling off and getting in a vehicle with two "attractive" women. Pictures of the women appeared online too. The head of Chonburi police Seesak Srisrirong headed to the station later after the damaging pictures appeared on the LIne application along with Royal Thai Police insignia. They were posted on a group used by the police themselves. After a crisis meeting in private the chief made a tour of the cells then left saying nothing to reporters. But later Tnews revealed they had spoken to Bang Lamung station chief Jakthip Paraphanthakun who admitted that one of his men had let the suspect go.
